It's Just That Cock That's The Cock I Get Nothing Up My Cock Laminated Cock

true, true Since the show is just over a week away, I'm also a little worried about timely delivery from Ticketmaster. Maybe I'll call the venue tomorrow.
-
I know, I just thought I'd see if anyone had a couple to unload around here first. I'd rather give my money to any VCer than to TicketBastard.

Ah, it's always nice finding another fan! (Or creating one...) One less person to say, "Who?" when you say you're going to see Wilco.

Yeah, the Eagles won't be great. But I'm looking forward to a GA follow up to the Madison show. Beltmann, what happened? I thought the ticket you were selling was maybe your wife's. I'm bummed.

Make sure they spill beer on you occasionally and "wooooooo!" in your ear.

Thanks for the input. Looks like we'll go--last show of the tour for us, and a much-needed day off on Monday. Hope to meet some of you there.

I can't even imagine seeing them on stage together. "I"ll take Uncomfortable Weirdness for $1000, Alex." I saw Son Volt this summer, and while some of their stuff from their last two albums (and Jay's Damn Shame-Memphis Mix) are great songs, the live show was rather gloomy.

You can buy it on iTunes.

Check this version out.

Right. Yes, of course. Thanks for talking me down on that one.

Who's been to the Main Lounge, and how is it? I found a couple old posts from when the show was first added, but nothing beyond "Awesome!" and "woo hoo!" sorts of things. To those of you who've seen shows there, how is it? We're considering a road trip for one more show after Milwaukee, and I'm thinking that's our best bet in terms of distance. But how about in terms of the venue itself?

45 pounds? So I'm paying at least $24 (45p fee + minimum $1) for the album if I use my cc? Is this accurate?

Yes, rule the world! That's much better--far easier to read and follow. One transition I'd "fix" is the one that begins with "The book's most dramatic example of that..." Instead of saying "that," reuse the word "change." So, for example, "The book's most dramatic illustration of such changes occurs during..." It's the old/new strategy in which you make reference to something in the previous sentence before offering new information. It makes the connection clearer. Nice revising.

Gotta get my hands on that... Looks like this guy (Rick Fuller) has done a lot of other great stuff, too. -
Oman, you're now opening for Andrew Bird in Milwaukee? The pre-pre-Wilco show? Because I'm counting on Do You Really Want To Hurt Me...

I like Prince a lot, but I wish I had never seen him in concert. I saw him in 2003 at the Excel Energy Center (St. Paul). It was awful. It was like a bad Vegas revue of Prince's career--I don't think he played one song in its entirety all night; they were all medleys. Fucking UGH. That being said, I would concur with "rocks my face off." I'm just trying to block out the Excel Energy Experience. Now if he had been onstage with Morris Day and The Time at First Ave....

For research questions, I'd pursue things about changes in the music industry, the importance of the bottom line regarding who gets signed and for how long, how bands get added to regular rotations on the radio, etc. (You know, the part about "easy marketability and quick success") I'm not sure how you could define "music of substance" in terms of researching it. Also, it seems like your first sentence (Wilco is the opposite of what record companies...) is your thesis; if so, it should appear closer to the end of that first paragraph. You say that with each release, Wilco has frustrat

Going to check that out, thanks.
