  1. I can't imagine how they'd police something like that. But maybe my imagination sucks.
  2. Great news, obviously. Almost calls for a VC commune of sorts.... you know, if we could all pretend we didn't have any responsibilities from 2/15-2/20 except to love Wilco.
  3. Here's the best site I've found with the songs.... Not sure if this is what you're looking for or not. Blindsided is nice. http://www.virb.com/boniver
  4. Well, it's better than their version of the Chili's baby back ribs jingle. I like the Old 97s, especially pre-Satellite Rides, and they're great live, but that Christmas song, the Rhett solo stuff... not feeling it.
  5. I agree, live shows are great. I especially love Tweedy solo at Hardly Strictly this year and the Troutdale, OR show. I hear you on the external hard drive...
  6. Thanks for the info! Does anybody know--will this be under "Jeff TWeedy" at Ticketmaster or the name of the school/benefit?
  7. Great summary...sounds like a ton of fun.
  8. Congrats, winners! It's a beautiful thing.
  9. New dates.... Nice! IA is a possibility if they aren't going to get any closer to home...
  10. Thanks for the heads up to the MySpace tracks. DC Blues is my "favorite" of the four--I like the mood of it. Some of the phrasing in True Blue sounds a lot like Break In The Clouds to my ear.
  11. If you can afford, do it! People take trips all over the place to golf, gamble, lie in the sun.... why not take a trip for beautiful music?
  12. Thanks for the link--the orchestration is beautiful, the studio version much more pleasing than what I torrented. I'm on a second listen now.
  13. I've never searched much for their live stuff.... was ignorant of torrents until not long ago. I'm going to do some searching and see if I can find that OD Jubilee performance or others I attended.
  14. Has anyone downloaded the torrent of him performing many of the songs live in France? I did. And I'm underwhelmed.
  15. I love reading this thread... reminds me of all the great Crowes songs across SHMC, Amorica, Three Snakes. I saw them 6 or 8 times between 94 and 96, and at the end they seemed to be slipping compared to the eariler shows. Seeing them under the pseudonym "O.D. Jubilee Band" at First Avenue was a highlight. And I love Wiser Time, Descending (Harsh kills me on that one also), High Head Blues.... And the fact that CR produced Louris's upcoming solo record is the one thing that has buoyed my hope for that record after hearing a torrent of him performing some of the tracks live in France.
  16. ....and a collective sigh was breathed all across VC land...
  17. If you were a pill I'd take a handful at my will and I'd knock you back with something sweet and strong.
  18. "Jeff Tweedy to perform at two Chicago Benefits" Opening page
  19. The second city site has what I'm assuming is an accurate schedule, though. I just thought I'd throw that out there because if I was going (and bidding on something really important, for example) , the different dates would freak me out a little bit. I bet WW will fix it soon.
