  1. Sorry--that's a huge bummer.
  2. Holy crap.... I hope they're still into handing it over to John when they get to Milwaukee...
  3. Hahahaha, who will JT give his WristStrong bracelet to? Okay, it's all you blindgonzo... We're doing double duty here.
  4. Mmmmmm, Handshake Drugs....
  5. Yay!! (3 day trial here, too...) Forget the Flowers! (And only 16 nothings... lol)
  6. Thanks for the great pics and recap of the show.
  7. Ahhhhh, what a great trip and show. These are great stories to read, everyone. Thanks for sharing them with us.
  8. WOO HOO! SOunds like a great show--can't wait for a recording.
  9. Cool! Maybe we'll see one another up front. Do you really want to hurt me? Any of the above mentioned bands would be great. I've never seen Califone, Phonograph, or My Morning Jacket, but we saw Low at First Avenue a few years ago. It was a great show, but it's the first time I've heard anyone get shushed (Ssshhhh!!) at First Avenue. The first time I've seen people SIT for a show at First AVe.! So I can see what people are saying about not being a great pre-Wilco (or Eagle's Ballroom, for that matter) fit.
  10. I haven't listened to the entire show, but what I have listened to is an absolute treat. What a nice crowd over there in Dallas. I feel good vibes through my earbuds....
  11. Excellent. Are you taking requests?
  12. Does anyone know who's opening for Wilco in October? The guys from Dr. Dog said it's not them, and I haven't seen anything on Wilco World or the venue (Eagle's Ballroom) site saying who's the opener. Curious if anyone here has heard.
  13. What a great night for the two of you. Yours is a great story, and Wilco is a class act.
  14. That whole 9/14 Dallas show is fantastic to listen to!
  15. Is this an outdoor show? It says "9th Street Summerfest" at WilcoWorld, but I can't find anything when I Google that phrase or whatnot. (For the record, I'm a good 8 hours away from Columbia, MO and have to teach both the day of the show and the day after, but I like to pretend sometimes...)
  16. That was great to read--thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm so glad you had such a fantastic night; I'm excited to listen to the whole show!
  17. Thank you--the show sounds fantastic!
  18. Fantastic!! And I love that the pre-order folks got to go up front. Wilco rocks. Glad it was such a great show...I love reading all the after stuff!
  19. Welcome to VC! You'll eventually fall in love with so many songs, lyrics, solos, b-sides, demos.... you'll explode! Have fun snooping around the site--the folks here know everything you could ever want to know and are very generous to boot.
  20. Fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing. What a great show to hear about.

    UT

I actually like UT a lot, but I started listening after enjoying both AM and Trace, so I listen to UT in the context of "what came before" vs. "what could still be, if only..." I especially like the 3/16-20 disc which I just got this spring. I like JFs voice although I tire of it after awhile. I saw SV at Summerfest this year, and I felt really sad after the show. (Keep in mind, they followed a charismatic performance by the Old 97s...) JF didn't seem to be having much fun, and one of the only things he said all night was, "Thanks for sticking with us" followed by a sigh. I wanted to giv
  22. Oooo, tell THAT story, Froggie!
