I just saw Star Trek, I want them to use as much $$$ as necessary!

Just saw the movie tonight, I totally enjoyed it. I know NOTHING about the Star Trek franchise other than, "Beam me up Scotty". In the car I actually said "To infinity and beyond", but I was shot down by my friends, since that is a Toy Story reference oops! This movie for a non trekkie is tremendous, one of the best action/sci fi movies I have ever seen. Only downside is,

I just hope it will be less straight forward "Dad Rock" than that travesty that was Wilco (The Album)!!!

wow, both those stories are pretty awesome. I've seen a few interview clips and he came off as a REALLY genuine person. He said something interesting about his songwriting, how he doesnt like to be a moody, struggling artist on stage. He said he saves all that for when he is writing the songs, so he can just have fun being a performer, very nice approach!

there are TONS of hotels in the Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie area. I am not sure how close this is to the stadium, but I was living in Poughkeepsie for a bit, I met a friend who lives in Pough, and works at the stadium, so they must be close. I'm pretty sure everything in that area is right along route 9

The songs Make War, Waste of Paint, and Lets Not Shit Ourselves take the album from being a solid one, to a spectacular one. I got the entire "next Dylan" vibe from those songs

I really like that pic of John, Nels, and Jeff from the Wilco-news section. I wish that could be the album artwork, nothing fancy, just that picture. However it would be kinda douchey to not include Glenn, Pat, and Mikael. I hope the album art dose not suck, AGIB is the only one I've liked so far
