Wilco Should Release An Anniversary/Deluxe edition of YHF
jmacomber68w replied to Clint09eastwood's topic in Just A Fan
Maybe they could also release a movie, better yet a documentary, detailing the events that transpired during the recording of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. It could be in black & white! But ya in all honestly a special edition of YHF would be tremendous. I don't understand why bands are so stingy about releasing bonus material, live albums, etc. -
Just saw this on msnbc, here's a bbc link http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7996087.stm Good news, hopefully nobody milks this for a made for tv movie or anything (though I am sure someone will)

247 / 400 Quiz number 2 was pretty interesting, "you are a center-left moderate social libertarian. Left: 2.87, Libertarian: 1.67 " I am always iffy on these quiz results, I still would consider myself a fairly central pro lifer who is a staunch supporter of the 1st amendment, gay rights and the military

I wonder if people who frequent Chicago based porn forums get spam directing them to Chicago based rock bands?

Is there a free way to open these "Rar" files, I'm a bit confused. A few Google searches have brought me to something called "bitzipper", but that costs $25, any help, is there a free version of bitzipper around.

Take your friend, and then while your in line to get into the show pull out the 2 tickets and rip them up in front of her. Then tell her, "that's why you don't ditch friends at concerts" followed by you slowly walking away. That will teach her a lesson!
-
From what I've heard this is quite the possibility

Do you mean songs released as singles? Or Wilco songs in general? Either way for the sake of debate here are the songs I feel are better than Bob Dylan's Beard: Hell Is Chrome Hummingbird Handshake Drugs Theologians One True Vine The Thanks I Get Impossible Germany Please Be Patient With Me On and On and On

This thread is way more interesting than the "Why don't you just use the search feature" response I was expecting.

How about concerts you had tickets for but never saw?
jmacomber68w replied to John Smith's topic in Someone Else's Song
Mine cannot even compare in terms of sadness. I bought my first electric guitar the day of an Assembly of Dust show (believe Toad's Place, this is only a few years ago) I brought the guitar home, and the amp that I had planned on buying from a local guitar shop had been sold. So instead of going to the show I went on a search for an amp. -
I don't know enough of the program to cite a specific example, but here is my take.... Rush, (I'm robbing this from something Chris Matthews said recently) is like a "self help group". The average listener is usually in their car and is generally of a conservative or moderate/conservative mindset. Considering his listeners are supporting an unpopular political ideology they find comfort in the radio show, the same way a Wilco fan can find comfort in a Wilco internet forum. They can at least relate to most of the talking points thrown around during his show. The problem is this.... .
