the restriction is due to the processing and memory requests of indexing and searching every single word on a forum. 3 is pretty common and the default for most board software the lower you go, the more power and database size it takes up.

well there's certainly SOME similarities, yes, but if you listen to the Black Keys first album, The Big Come Up, it's WAY more traditionally based in the blues than any of the White Stripes records have been.

his first 3-4 albums are fantastic, but the stuff since then has been very hit or miss.

it's too bad that 2 piece blues rock bands are going to be compared to the White Stripes until the end of time now it seems, especially since TBK have been around for over 7 years now. i gotta say that after the last 3 White Striples records, i much prefer the Black Keys at this point. mostly because i prefer Dan's smooth yet gravelly rasp of a voice to Jack's by quite a bit, and live they do it for me a lot more (mostly because Patrick is an amazing drummer). i also prefer Dan's guitar tone live to Jack's high pitched squeal these days. as for Things, i think the drums & bass line sou

i'd be shocked if Evil Urges even comes close to touching At Dawn for me, but i welcome it with open arms/ears as for the title cut... i like it a lot, especially seeing it live in Austin, but i think Smokin' is my favorite at the moment.

FANTASTIC band and a great bunch of fellows too! American was one of my fave records last year and my favorite local Twin Cities album by far. they put on a really good live show as well if you go see any of those Southeast gigs, tell Ben that I said hello
