1. Harvest Moon 2. Silver & Gold 3. Sleeps With Angels 4. Prairie Wind 5. Living With War i actually LOVE Greendale... cheesy storyline and all, there's 2 totally amazing songs on there (i'd put Bandit up there w/ his best stuff for me...), but i can understand those who didn't get into it. the only post '00 record of his i can't stand is Are You Passionate. there's 3, maybe 4 worthwhile songs on there.

yep. it's pretty cool. wish it was more Jayhawks-y than Creekdippers though
-
see... that's my issue too i can totally understand their appeal, but the accolade & slobbering by many folks just boggles my mind. maybe i don't do enough drugs

nice list

for a long time i couldn't stand the band, because i'd listened to a few of their records and was just annoyed for the most part... wasn't until i finally saw some photos & videos of their live show when I got interested in them more.
-
the reason they're in low supply right now is version 2.0 is coming out in February
-
yeah... admittedly i lost interest after 25-30 minutes myself... but i thought that was mostly because I don't really dig their music style too much
-
yes. personally their music doesn't really interest me in the least, but they put on an incredible live show
-
i've heard Sung, Indian, Feels, and everything since. nothing else however. as for my comment, well it certainly applies somewhat with this latest record and a few of their other recent ones, i can't speak for those i haven't heard obviously. it also wasn't meant as a diss, just what my overall view on their recent records can be summed up as.

so i was pretty nonplussed by the first 2 songs from this new record, but this 3rd one is way worse http://www.amazon.com/Life-Itself-Amazon-E...21&sr=102-1 free download starting today

never once said it was a pet peeve, just an obvious influence
-
Mono/Stereo for solo stuff.

it's in the production & layering mostly. sure the instruments they use are quite a bit different, but to say that the BB's are not an influence on both bands is simply untrue imo, and I'm quite positive the band would even agree (i know Panda Bear likes Pet Sounds a lot least) http://www.supmag.com/checkit/archives/200..._bear_10_q.html now i never said they were a Beach Boys ripoff, or owed everything to them or anything silly like that... i just don't find their music nearly as "unique" as a lot of their fanboys seem to claim (you should read some of the garbage they spout over o

i don't really find AC THAT unique i guess... well, original moreso than unique. they've always just kinda reminded me of a more nob-twiddling Beach Boys. as for the quality rip, hopefully you're right and the real thing sounds way better

giving this my first listen... never liked this band, but this isn't giving me a headache like past records have, so that has to account for something! is it just me or is the production on this kinda muted and a bit distant? ie: on My Girls? sounds like i'm listening to it through a blanket almost. edit: hmm... Guys Eyes might be the first AC song i can say i outright love...

gah. quit reminding me that was the only Rock The Garden i've missed since i've lived here. we were on vacation at the time.

while i won't defend Evil Urges, i will say, start at track 4... from that point on the album has a ton of great songs for me. why they opened with those 3 songs is beyond me. then again, besides one track i loved Z (still my 3rd fave MMJ after At Dawn (way way above everything else) and It Still Moves) that said... i think it's obvious now more than ever that it needs to be pointed out that this is NOT the same band who recorded At Dawn... only 2 members exist from that record now (Jim & Tommy). while they're still an AMAZING live band, i still prefer the Johnny Quaid & Danny Cash

sounds about right.

so awesome

i love that he's wearing a Rock out with your cock out Threadless shirt on his b-day luckiest kid evah

i'd put it in his top 3 albums released under the BPB moniker
