  1. Jerry Garcia biopic in production.
  2. I'm a Radiator guy, myself. But that is a good one.
  3. Saw this flick last night. I liked it a lot. In fact, it sparked more conversation about what exactly was happening, than Inception did. More angles: not just what was real, and what was not, but also looking at it from a Judeo/Christian perspective and rumination on the power of prayer and the nature of self-determination. (If you don't call talking directly to your creator a "prayer", then I don't know what it is.) I loved this movie. And, I was surprised that Ferrell was able to flash some true acting chops and hold his own agains Hoffman and Thompson. Also, something I didn't expect was

  7. Just saw him with the Levon Helm Band. Honestly, Hiatt doesn't do a whole lot for me. I can appreciate him as a craftsman, but none of his songs hit me anywhere where I can feel it. He was good when I saw him. But hearing Levon afterwards just (for me) underscored the difference between a great craftsman and a great artist.
  8. I am really damn tempted... Thanks for the feedback. Anyone else?
  9. I think that I mentioned them earlier, but I found this video for The Format http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ2ZrnsDAkQ One of my favorite albums of the '00s. Oh, and every song on the album is as catchier as, if not catchier than this one. So, so great.
  10. Is that pronounced "SWINE"? I love random ümlats!
  11. I like it because... A: it's more interactive. B: It's not blocked at work. and c: there's another reason
  12. OBIT. LINK Rest in peace you magnificent, crippled bastard.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul3GqD_E45w Simultaneously adorable, hilarious, and terrifying.
  14. They are a lot of fun in such a setting. A fun, no-frills rock show with a good band.
  15. I was out at a bar last night and they had Jango pumping through the house speakers. I was really digging it and enjoying whatever folks were putting up... as well as the Toots & The Maytalls channel that I had going for a while. It's essentially a Pandora-like site; same basic idea: plug in an artist's name and hear their music, plus other bands that have a similar sound/feel. I think that I like it better than Pandora, though. Just a friendlier design, methinks. Anyone use it? What do you think?
  16. Anyone been to a Gorillaz show? How's the crowd? Safe enough for a 9-year-old? Or (as I suspect there is) is there just a ton of pot smoke hovering in the air?
  17. DMB doesn't even deserve to lick their sweaty jocks.
