  1. Good thing our POTUS says the Russian interference is fake news, and that he's doing everything he can to lift sanctions on Russia. https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-06-13/russian-breach-of-39-states-threatens-future-u-s-elections
  2. ^Ask him why Donald Trump can't complete a coherent thought. https://www.quora.com/Should-I-worry-that-Trump-cant-form-coherent-sentences
  3. ^Right, but the Dead dudes at least are not calling themselves the Grateful Dead.
  4. There was a kerfluffle between Densmore v Krieger & Manzarek a while back about using "The Doors" but I think that was well over 10 years ago.

  6. Old Crow Medicine Show performing Blonde on Blonde at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee.
  7. It's the whole thing - I think it just must be a default way that Amazon Prime categorizes things like that.
  8. It's crazy to see the hype/spin reactions from both sides. If you only paid attention to one or the other, you'd think you'd crushed the other side and won the Superbowl, from either direction.

  10. Could have been the Bickershaw festival, which they played on 5/7/72, but I don't think it was... If the footage they were exclaiming about was the same they were showing shortly afterwards, that was with a beardless (well, maybe a day's growth) Garcia. Photos of him during the '72 tour had him with a full beard. I don't think they toured the UK or Europe before 72. Could be wrong...
  11. We watched the latest John Oliver main segment the other night on youtube (HBO posts them for free - but it's not the whole show, just the "main story"), and he just makes it so apparent that pulling out of the Paris Agreement was so dumb. It was a non-binding agreement. So, the US was at absolutely no "competitive disadvantage", as Trump claims. It was mainly a symbolic agreement that the WHOLE WORLD AGREES that we should maybe probably do something to preserve the planet, and limit the man-made pollutants that we expel. As for contributing to the Green Climate Fund that POTUS complained
  12. I must have been snoozing a bit when the "Hunter appearance" happens, because I have no idea what you guys were talking about earlier on in this thread.
  13. He also did a few George songs as well, when I saw him
  14. For those of you with young'uns, (currently or formerly), or maybe you sing yourself or your hamster to sleep... I have two boys, (2 and 4) and they love a song before hitting the hay. Their favorite is Kitty, a traditional song as done by the Pogues. And the rest of my current repertoire includes: Beatles - Good Night U2 - MLK Grateful Dead - I Bid You Goodnight What do you all sing to your kids?
  15. ^ Ha. The only times I get to hear Hawk actually is when they're playing the Tigers. And even then, if I get to watch more than a single inning before something else in my chaotic household calls me away for this or that, it's a blessing. He gone! Speaking of '72 shows, Someone with more technical aptitude than me could overdub Hawk saying HE GONE over He's Gone.
  16. ^ I have one cousin. (small family - my father has no cousins). I haven't heard from cousin Paul in probably 10 years. I wish Hawk were more like cousin Paul.
  17. ^That makes sense, given that Streets is such a natural opener, and it's how that tour started back in the day, obviously. But, if it's not going to be the opener, is there really a difference if it's the 4th or 5th song in the set list?
  18. I would assume that Bono's pipes would be strained in trying to hit the high hard ones in A Sort of Homecoming, night after night. Even in his prime those were hard ones to hit.The old grey mare just ain't what she used to be. Speaking of old pipes, I saw a clip of Liam Gallagher at the recent Manchester benefit show, singing Live Forever, accompanied by Chris Martin. Yeah. Couldn't really hit the notes anymore. Shame.
  19. Even during my harshest Anti McCartney period (which I'm cured of, all except for chronic Maxwell's Silver Hammer, which I've been told is incurable. The Steve Martin version can be fatal in small doses to a person with my condition) I always enjoyed She's Leaving Home. It's a perfect little one act play of youth vs tradition and the yearning to be free to have fun.
  20. You know, I couldn't believe my ears, so I instantly rewound it to hear it again (and again), and it was definitely GODDAMN IT. I know he substitutes Dag Nab it, or Dag Gammit, but this one was pretty clear to me. And later that night, I just happened to have CSN on when they started rebroadcasting it. On the rebroadcast, there was nothing. No cussing, no cuss-substitution, no nothing. They muted him. So, in conclusion, BUSH DID 911.
