was at gym last night and the Haiti relief show was on alot of the stations..I thought I need to go home and make a (small) donation. Started surfing because my Friday nights are oh so exciting, and stopped by Via Chicago (as usual). Imagine my surprise: 1. I get to feel all good inside about helping what is truly a tragic situation. 2. I get cool music, too (enjoying London with my morning coffee) haiti needs our help- keep the vibes and contributions going.

I'll never forgot my first lube show - furthur festival with a broken down plymouth.... I also had a lube experience with DMB back in the day. Maybe in the future they'll wash everyone's car while they're at a show there??

Already the new year begins, rife with controversy...... What is the proper pronunciation of the new year?? 1. Twenty ten 2. Two thousand ten I'm infavor of #1, but my 15 year old son and 7 year old daughter disagree....of course I suspect she's just ganging up on me......

Cumberland Blues Big Boss Man and, ummm....Dayjob.... -
Double Nickels on the Dime would have to be there. I would argue that Sandinista wouldve been a better as a twofer. The River might have a few clunkers but also holds up well as a double album. I like Layla and The Dirty South as well. Physical Graffitti and Daydream Nation. OK OK I'll stop. I kinda miss the era of the double album. I know too many bands and too many doubles should've probably been edited it down to one record, but there was something cool about trying to explore and digest 4 sides of vinyl and attempting to make some kind of sense of it all.
