  1. Geez, man. So very sorry.
  2. I don't know how to post images so... http://gph.is/2roBwHq
  3. I never got into her music till her latest album.
  4. Thank you for your reassuring words. It's interesting that you suggest I talk to him about the game. I thought about posting an update on Facebook a couple of months ago along the same lines I was going to advise anyone who sees me talking while driving alone in my car that I was talking to my dad about a ballgame. A friend who lost his dad almost a year exactly before I lost mine told me the number of things about which he'd like to talk to his dad has piled up. I've noticed the same thing.
  5. Today I'm watching my first Atlanta Braves game since my dad passed away. He introduced me to baseball through the Braves in the summer of '82 (shortly after we got cable), and I fell in love with the game almost immediately. I played until the game outpaced my skill set and have continued to watch it. I'd give anything to have him here with me to talk about the game today.
  6. Nice! Waxahatchee's coming to NOLA in May after cancelling last year. Hoping to catch the show in May.
  7. Bill Abel, an authentic Delta blues musician and a friend. If you're unfamiliar with his music and like blues, check him out! https://www.billabelmusic.com
  8. Fruit Bats & Vetiver solo show (Eric D. Johnson & Andy Cabic)
  9. Watched "The Open House" on Netflix. Don't waste your time.
  10. I haven't. Thanks so much for sharing! ETA: I just read it and am on the brink of tears. How beautifully expressed and true.
  11. It was a pretty cool way to spend a Tuesday evening. He was very interesting. I don't know if he makes a habit of it, but he used different colored pens or markers to sign the book. The ticket to the even was only $10, and it came with a $5 coupon for any of his books that were on sale at the event.
  12. I'm a day late with this, but last night I went to see George Saunders speak about "Lincoln in the Bardo" and on writing in general. Picked up a signed copy of the book also.
  13. Those were good times, but they occurred when Ted Turner owned the team. Liberty Media's more concerned with building new, unnecessary stadiums and using the team as a tax break.
  14. Must be nice to support a team that has a chance. As a Braves fan I'm just looking forward to the day when Liberty Media is no longer the team owner.
  15. Pedro the Lion with Marie/Lepanto
  16. Lulz. Maybe that's what she was going for.
