Infinitely Polar Bear. It was OK.

As I ordered the CD, which I guess wasn't a shipping priority, I still haven't heard it. I pre-ordered on day one, and my copy hasn't shipped yet. Kinda bummed.

Just discovered Big Thief in Wilco's Spotify playlist. Kicking myself for missing their show in NOLA in June. "Masterpiece" is a very strong album, and the single is one of the best songs I've heard all year.

This makes me happy with anticipation. Tempered anticipation but anticipation nevertheless.

My sentiments exactly. Thanks for beating me to the punch on this.

I may go to Peaches Records in NOLA next week to listen and hopefully win a raffle item. If not my CD is on the way and I snagged a signed copy of the book of posters. And there's new Wilco music on the way. I'm happy.

Saw "Hell or High Water" yesterday. Excellent movie. I haven't seen a lot of movies this year, but from the ones I remember off the top of my head it's my favorite so far. Also watched "Elvis and Nixon" on DVD the other night. Pretty entertaining movie with some funny moments.

New St. Paul & the Broken Bones too.

Listening to it for the first time now...& liking it!

	Sounds solid but not great.

I'm trying to contain my enthusiasm out of fear it won't live up to any hype. I'm sure I won't hate it, but I don't often return to the well to listen to anything after "A Ghost Is Born." That way any surprise will be of the pleasant variety. Still I pre-ordered it the day it became available and will anxiously await its release.

The hits just keep on coming for the music world this year.

I probably will if only because R.E.M. is my favorite band of all time (sorry, Wilco). It does have some great songs: "Near Wild Heaven," "Belong," "Half a World Away," "Texarkana," "Country Feedback," and "Me in Honey" are all among my favorites (my list is long). I've hated "Shiny Happy People" since the first time I heard it, and "Radio Song" is pretty low on my list of R.E.M. songs. Everyone knows "Losing My Religion." It's a staple for sure, but having grown up when that song was popular, it got old quickly and never fully recovered. I miss R.E.M. I saw that Peter Buck and Bill Berry pl

So incredibly jealous of St. Louis. Wish they'd do an in-store at the Euclid in NOLA.

Started "Stranger Things" today. Two episodes in and I'm hooked.

"Gleason." I can't recommend this film enough. It's a powerful depiction (the good, the bad & the ugly) of the decline of a former professional athlete at the hands of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and how it affects him and those closest to him.
