  1. Happy Thanksgiving from the Deep South, y'all! So many blessings for which to be thankful this year, including three Wilco shows (two in New Orleans and one in Franklin, TN) and having opportunities to meet two of my fellow VCers at shows this year. Wishing everyone at Via Chicago a wonderful holiday season.
  2. A musical institution. Dude made suits look great even in the middle of July in New Orleans. Godspeed.
  3. If anyone has any "ins" I'd love to get my NOLA show poster signed when I'm at the ATL shows. I've yet to meet a single member of the band though I ran into Nels at Jazz Fest about four years ago.
  4. That's the only Wilco show I really haven't enjoyed. I remember looking around at the crowd during "One Sunday Morning" and seeing people talking and sitting. It was far from memorable.
  5. Hoping the Atlanta shows will have more energy than the one at the Cobb Center (or whatever the name of that place is) in 2011. All-seated show in a suburban, squeaky clean, new venue = meh.
  6. I think I just got tix on the floor for both nights in Atlanta. I think my fandom has officially gotten out of hand, as I now have to purchase airfare, arrange to stay with a friend in the ATL, and shuffle my work schedule.
  7. Broken Foot, I hear ya. I was gonna fly to Atlanta from NOLA for both shows at the Tabernacle. I'm almost certain I won't get floor tix tomorrow and may not even bother with it.
  8. No additional presale for the Atlanta shows. Dang.
  9. I was sitting at my computer at 9:00 CST and still couldn't get tix for the ATL shows. Very disappointed. With lightning, rain, and terrible presale arrangements, it seems like the gods don't want me to see Wilco. Bummer.
  10. I freaking love the Tabernacle and will also be trying to score floor tix (if I decide to make the trip to the ATL).
  11. Excellent! It's been way too long since I've seen them (almost 20 years).
  12. Hoping for a quick return to NOLA and to finally meet JT in the new year.
  13. Maybe the band will release it as a Roadcase show. It's certainly worthy of consideration. I prefer their first three albums, but even I was blown away by Monday's night performance.
  14. For me the ones that should join the usual rotation are "Taste the Ceiling," "Cold Slope," and "King of You." For my deep cuts I'd pick "Random Name Generator" and "The Joke Explained."
