I have been wondering why Nils is in the band....He usually can only be heard for like 3 songs the whole night. I think when Little Stevie left the band in the 80's and Nils came in...bruce felt bad about telling him to leave when LS came back.....who knows...I would like to see him play with Neil Young.

I just read that April issue is the last.......I liked it....had some good features....shame.

I was following the Allman Brothers gig in NYC this month and wondering when they bring in the special guests do they pay them or at least pay the travel costs. Like the Last Waltz, any special guests get paid over time or did they sign rights away. What about tribute concerts like the Dylan fest with all the big boys (Harrision, Neil......) Anyone have any insight to this?

What is wrong with J Geils...they are great live (so I hear). For me it has to be Dylan (at least 15 times) Neil Young (around 10) CSN and sometimes Y (10 or so) Black Crowes (at least 10) Plant...with and without Page (10ish) Bruce (at least 10 times) U2 (around 10) Stones (5 or so) Bowie (5) Billy Joel (6 or more) Rush (5 times) Wilco (at least 7 times...including opening for Jayhawks and Sheryl Crow) Madonna (5 times) for the wife Pearl Jam (around 10) I am sure I am forgetting some but.... Man I spent way too much $$$ on concerts in my life.

I check it out on occasion when I pass channel 13 on Sirius Radio. You got to respect him for what he was.

I will agree with this...Except I would Add WILCO. Page / Plant 2nd Tour....never saw so many happy people at a show....people were grinning the who night.
