Apparently, this is a real band with the intention of playing shows and recording. Among the small group of people who would care about this musical pairing, I could see this being one of the most highly anticipated records ever. P.S. The description I read of this was "the poppier side of Jawbreaker mixed with the poppier side of Pinhead Gunpowder".

I didn't hear the name yet. I just hope they are recording/doing this full time. I know Aaron tends to not stay in one place very long...

Apparently Blake from Jawbreaker is in a new band with Aaron Cometbus. Here's visual proof: The 19 year old me is losing his mind over this news. The 37 year old me is also pretty jazzed.

That album kinda blows, but that is a pretty great song. I don't know that I ever heard the Joe Perry Project version.

I wonder how things are working out for the couple of people who have had success after being on this show (Kelly Clarkson, the blonde country singer chick). Didn't they sign like the least artist-friendly contracts in the history of music or something? I thought I read an article once that detailed the numerous ways in which the AI contracts completely screwed them...from royalty rates to merch, etc..

I forgot about Beck. I think he's awful. P.S. I like some Barenaked Ladies stuff too. Decent band.

Bob Dylan is the most overrated (musical) artist of all time. Led Zeppelin was a cruddy band, and Robert Plant is an awful frontman (don't even get me started on Jimmy Page). Sgt. Pepper's is the worst Beatles album. By far. Once you get past the southern-rock-revival-for-hipsters schtick, Drive By Truckers have a bunch of really boring songs. Meg White's drumming is perfect for the White Stripes sound. I would rather listen to a 14 year old novice guitar player testing out a BC Rich/Line 6 combo at Guitar Center than listen to Eric Clapton. Feel free to also substitute Stevie R
