I have a flash drive w/Winamp installed on it that works great for listening and converting files on the go btw various computers. I have an larger external at home that's always plugged in, and that actually runs a tad slower -- but in my case, I attribute it to a POS computer.

It's certainly happened before. ;-) -

Recorded Nap, I don't know you, but I'm always intrigued by your posts. In another thread I thought I saw Crow Daddy Magnus say something about "wait till she's out of law school" in reference to your banter with another poster. It's all so clear to me now -- many of your posts do come across like they've been thought out like a legal defense. And I shall continue to observe your banter, among others. That is all. -

No, they're not, but there's definitely a spiritual undercurrent to a lot of it. I'd classify some of it as non-denominational gospel. -

Just discovered this the other day and am loving it. In fact, I've pretty much missed the boat on all of her work. How that happened, I don't know. But I'm glad I've found it. -
Favorite holiday songs!

...oh - and my absolute favorite set of Christmas music is by Vince Guaraldi. For new jazz takes on Christmas tunes, I highly, highly recommend Matt Wilson's Christmas Tree-O. I won't link to it, but Palmetto records does stream most everything in their catalog from their site, hint-hint. -

I wonder whose idea it was to mix Bing and Bowie in the first place. -

The one linked above didn't have "Dash 7," but the article said that there would be three separate ads. Must be in one of the others... -

There are some melodies sung in there. Boys and Girls in American / Stay Positive are much more accessible than earlier efforts. -

One time, a friend and I were driving to a baseball game, and I accidentally rear-ended the van in front of me in the right lane of an always-busy three lane parkway. The driver waved to us out the window to pull off on the next street, which we did, but they didn't turn. We waited for upwards of 15 minutes for the other driver to show up so we could exchange insurance information. They never did, so we left.

I agree with most everything said here, with the exception of "Hell is Chrome" being boring.

What are the chances the next Wilco album sucks?

Shameless self promotion -- I reposted my list on my blog yesterday with a little bit of commentary on each release, plus some links to the artists' websites and various videos.

I go through as many phases of which live-era Wilco I listen to as I do with the actual albums. At first I didn't like them, but over time I've come to love those 2001 post-Jay Bennett live recordings. It's interesting, though, to see how similar the setlists are from many of the shows that year; with only four members there's only so many tunes they could pull off sonically. But it's all so beautiful. -
I meant to post this earlier -- but the Washington Post pop critic, Chris Richards, posted an interesting bit yesterday asking people to explain Tweedy's appeal. Plus there's an option to vote for whether you're the "man/woman who loves Tweedy/Wilco" or Tweedy/Wilco = Bore on Bore. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/clicktrack/2010/12/please_explain_to_me_jeff_twee.html
