I was at that show and don't remember ever seeing that poster either. I have this Red Rocks one hanging in my basement.

Yesterday I played the word "Tweedy" in words with friends.

Bwa hah hah! Rolling Stone gives it 5 stars!

Oh man, you are in for a treat if you watch season 2. Just laughably bad. Like an old Sid and Marty Krofft TV show. Just awful but I kept watching anyways.

Like many people, Monster is about where I stopped. I still listen to the hell out of everything up through about "Green" but always thought Monster was a great album. Has a very cohesive album feel and was more heavy and different than anything they had done. Played Bang and blame in a band for awhile, great groove in that song.

Saw it here: http://tweedy.kungfustore.com/contest September 23rd: Mike Bailey (a Jeff Tweedy model Martin guitar).

I know! I was rooting for you (besides myself of course).

Somebody named Mike Bailey won the Tweedy Guitar, anyone here? Finally getting to listen to the CD on headphones here at work. Only 2 songs in but it's sounding good...

I actually used to brew beer so I kid about the effort involved. It's just that I can go any direction here in Boulder and in 2 minutes be at a place that makes better beer than I ever could so I kind of gave it up. And that beer fridge, wow. I want that.

Nice Podcast on Sound opinions with some Live Tweedy and interview with Jeff and Spencer: http://www.soundopinions.org/show/460

Yeah. Making beer these days is like washing your clothes by beating them on a rock.

Ah the age old question. Listen on my computer at work or wait until I get the CD in the mail and go full on headphones...

Just something else that I won on the radio
Moss replied to PopTodd's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Did you go? I saw them sometime in the 80's around screaming for vengeance. To this day it is by far the loudest show I have endured. When Halford would hit certain notes my ears would actually overload and clip like an amplifier. Deaf for a week. Even at the time as a teenager I thought some of the poses looked silly. Like them holding up their guitars so the necks crossed and halford getting in the middle. But I love the Priest. -

I am personally looking forward to winning Tweedy's guitar. -
How do you feel about musicians reading lyrics on stage?
Moss replied to lamradio's topic in Solid State Technology
Michael Gira from Swans had a music stand with lyrics when I saw him the other night. -
welcome and enjoy your first show!

I saw them a few years ago and thought it was a great show. Not sure on the new album yet though and i'm sure it will be heavy on that. They are coming here in October so I will probably see them.

Just got the new one (Into the wide). So far I'm not loving the production. A little more polish and gloss than previous stuff but I guess that has been the path so far from album to album.

Did I win the Tweedy guitar yet as part of the pre-order sweepstakes?
