For some reason I think the execs have more of a sense of entitlement about the bonuses.
-
Tough decision. Do I wait and support "independent record store day" or do I pre-order and get the lovely and functional tote bag?
-
Alright I'm in. Good luck to all.

YES!!!!!!!

I would not mind hearing Neko and Jeff but I agree with Lost Highway, not sure how it would work. Now PJ Harvey on the other hand...

Is that new? I love Claypool.

Jon Stewart destroys Mad Money's Jim Cramer
Moss replied to Sir Stewart's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I still got 4 years before the oldest is ready so I got my fingers crossed. We were a little late getting it started so it did not have a ton in it anyways. The youngest will be going in 7 years so maybe we will save it for her. -
I have nothing against country. I like this style quite a bit. Kind of the older school vs. Alan Jackson or something. Even without his dad, with a name like Justin Townes Earle, he was pretty much fated to do this kind of music.

You couldn't have tipped me off? Saved me a bundle? If nothing else I can let it ride and take some classes myself or give it to grandkids or something. -
A little more country than I usually get but I like it. Nice Replacements cover! Getting ready to see him with Isbell next month.
-
Cool. The only one I have read so far is the "Let it Be-Replacements" one written by Colin Meloy from the Decemberists. He talked briefly about buying the album and listening to it but the book had very little to do with the album at all. It was more of an autobiography about him but it was not bad.

Too bad we can't let them fail but the little guy would just get screwed and the bonuses would probably still get paid. Plus they are "too big" apparently.
-
He got divorced in 92? Did I miss out on "Blood on the tracks part II"?
-
It seems so obvious. Of course the lawyers could find loopholes or something to not pay these bonuses. Apparently there is no incentive at this point to even try to avoid the bonus payments.

Cool quote. He makes it very clear in Chronicles that the "voice of a generation" tag was like a millstone around his neck.
-
I'll give it a shot. Can't decide if I'm picking based on mascot or team colors this year.

That's the one. Me and a select group of 500,000 were there.

Very true. Bono will be the first to admit he has a bit of the Irish Storyteller in him.
-
Way off subject but Brad Whitford never got the due he deserved in that band. Ok, back to U2.
-
Because of all the shout outs for it, I just started this one (finished Dylan Chronicles vol. 1 which I really enjoyed).

How about we call the decade "The wonderful depression". Or "the bailaughts"
-
Yeah, that was great. You know a ton of people think the band is Bono and his backups. Larry makes it pretty clear that is not the case. In fact Bono called this "Adam's album". I have never read a long interview with Larry but I think I need to look one up.
