I would like to hear about that one too. I'm skeptical about a pedal being able to give you that Bassman sound.

I actually have a Fender Twin Reverb in my basement that a friend is keeping there. I really don't hear a big difference in sound between that and my Deville so I still use the Deville. Both have a great sound but I'm just looking for something different. I think part of the problem is both amps are so loud I am playing them on "2". When we play live they may go up to about "3" but that's it. Maybe I should get a Hot plate or something so I can turn them up a bit?

One of those groups where the songs you hear on the radio are the best ones. Great songwriters, pure pop gems that I never get tired of listening to. Don't forget "I can't live" which Nilsson later made famous.

Anybody have any experience with the Lonestar? With the stuff our band is playing (Black Crowes, Allmans, SRV, Son Volt, etc...) it seems like this amp would work quite well. I'm currently playing through a Finder Deville 2x12 and I like it but I just think I can get a better sound (don't we all). Any thoughts or recommendations?

Not sure I wrote anybody off. He just sounded fake and patronizing, like most politicians. I can see why he is the new face of the republican party since he represents the .01% that is not old and white.

He did sound really patronizing or something. He was acting like New Orleans has not taken any money at all and is doing it on their own which was kind of weird.

The Ace album was by far the best from what I remember. I think I remember Gene's being the worst.

I own the best of Missing persons, so there. Bee Gees. Are they guilty pleasures or non guilty? I am never sure but I like them.

Just finished season 4 and I'm on to season 5 as soon as Netflix can send the first disk. Amazing how much story they can pack in 12 or 13 episodes. Those kids in season 4 grew up right before our eyes in one season. Love that show.

Funny you mentioned that, I did download that one after I got the Weller one to see what it sounded like as it came up in my search. Some serious guitar on that track. I always thought Frampton was under rated as a guitarist.

Just downloaded Paul Weller's version of "I walk on Guilded Splinters" after hearing it at the end of season 4 of The Wire. Great song.

I saw Tommy in concert a few years ago. I think there were about 20 of us in the place. A band called Alien Crime Syndicate opened and then Tommy just joined them to play a bunch of Bash and Pop and Perfect tunes. It was not bad but the place was basically empty. No doubt Jesperson was huge in getting them off the ground and keeping them together longer than they would have made it on their own.

Interesting take on steroid use. Seemed somewhat balanced.
