I need a full accounting, I'm going to see him in April.

I don't know if Nirvana ever distanced themselves from metal, or at least bands like Motorhead or Sabbath. I remember reading that "Celtic Frost" was playing perpetually on their tour bus. Certainly Dave Grohl has never shied away from it.

It's a painful show. Every song is "Wind beneath my wings" or "Hero" or some other over the top wail fest.

Tatiana scares me a little. I think she has a touch of Lorena Bobbit in her.

That's a great idea using Lanegan. I don't think Queens of the Stone Age are keeping him busy. His bluesy voice with Cantrell's harmonies on top would be great. I saw Jerry Cantrell several years ago in a small theatre. Someone actually stole his other guitar player's wah wah pedal right off the stage before the encore. He was Pissed. I was standing right there and did not even see it happen. Maybe that pushed him back to the bigger theatres.

Unless you want to look "old school".

I had a history teacher that just drilled into us on a weekly basis that if you do nothing else before you die, you have to visit Machu Picchu. Hopefully I will get there one day. -
I bought the lifetime membership several years ago for $99 so whether they suck or not I will still be getting them. They have some interesting stories and interviews still but as far as album reviews they are not the most reliable.

Man, a Wilco/Sonic Youth tour would be fantastic! I also love "Experimental, jet set...". I think part of the deal with that CD is it's a bit more mellow. Actually I don't know if mellow is the right word. I tend to grab Sonic Youth when I want to crank it to ten and hear some dissonance so I don't think of that one but I always love it when I listen to it. Just have to be in the right mood for that one where Daydream I can always listen to it.

Springsteen, Dylan, U2, all get 5 stars. I hope the Dylan and U2 are better than the Springsteen which was not bad but not 5 stars. And Jason Isbell gets 3 stars. Not sure about their rating system at this point.
-
Looking forward to hearing it, a new U2 is always an event. When is the actual release date?
-
I saw the last tour with the new singer and it was not bad but not the same. The thing I liked is that the singer was doing his own thing and not trying to sound like Layne. I would prefer Cantrell just go out on his own and play smaller theaters.

I always wanted to do one of those Liverpool Beatle tours. Eat some Beans on toast. -
That was good for an early morning laugh! I had that 45 when I was 12 or so.

Be glad to help, an absolute tragedy. -
Still looking myself although I did find the full Austin City Limits CD, listening to "Buckets of Rain" right now.

Wow, I thought it was a joke or something at first. That album really is a pop masterpiece so I could see someone covering it. I just saw them in concert last year, I may have been the oldest person in the room (40) but they were amazing. Have to check out this Ben Lee version for sure. Thanks so much!

What is this? This is a great CD. One of the best of last year. Ben Lee?

This probably won't help much but if you can sell a few kids, save some money, rob a liquor store, the 52 reissue is the greatest guitar ever. I have literally played Godsmack and Johnny Cash, and everything in between on it. The neck is like butter. It stays in tune, has the Tele twang. But to go back to your original question, I don't know anything about the MIM Tele. I will see what I can find out though.

Please tell me your are joking. That guy makes Kanye seem humble. Does he refer to himself in the 3rd person? -
I'm with you. I'm sitting on the floor right now because my Cat looks so damn comfortable on the chair. Not proud but there it is. Although I'm starting to wonder about this animal uprising thing. Maybe I should assert my authority as alpha Male.

To answer your questions: 1. Yes 2. Yes, Yes In your honor, being the stand up guy that I am, I listened to Jason Isbell followed by Animal Collective (even though not on your list). I almost got whiplash performing this feat but I have to say that you really need to get the Jason Isbell and Animal Collective CD's. Both amazing although I give the edge to Isbell (more my speed than anything). If you already have Attack and Release then Dan Auerbach is a great choice. Glad I could be absolutely useless to you. Good luck!

This part made me tear up a little. That's just pitiful. I'm a sensitive guy: "As police and emergency crews tended to Ms Herold
