Just got the Sky Blue Sky tab book for Christmas. Not bad at all. Seems very accurate. Now if I could just find all the other albums!

Don't forget "Pleased to Meet Me" also.

I'm not sure there is a rule of thumb (get it?). Regular pick, thumb pick, no pick. Whatever sounds good. There are parts of this video where it looks very clear that Jeff is playing fingers only, no picks. That would be my preferred way as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AratTMGrHaQ

Ahhh Veruca Salt. Thanks for the memories.

I feel both sorry and envious. Sorry you have missed out so far but there is a great body of work for you to explore! Not sure why the 5:05 is no longer available.

Working my way through Simon Schama history of Art stuff. Just watched the Picasso episode. Good stuff.

I can't imagine life without the Beatles.

Saw Joe at House of Blues in LA on one of his solo outings. Absolutely brilliant show. Joey Ramone was in the house but unfortunately didn't get onstage. I miss Joe.

Got it when it came out. The really weird thing is the version I have is actuall 5 minutes and 5 seconds short of 49:00. Turns out you can download the additional 5 minutes at the following link. By the time I tried it was gone although the link still works. Not sure what the hell that is all about. I do love my 44 minutes though! http://studio.tunecore.com/store/product/47

See Anthonyc007's list. Except for Fleet Foxes which I have not listened to enough yet to know.

Don't forget "O Holy night" by Al Green.

8 on my first try.

I'm so unhip, I have not heard the vast majority of this list.

And Ravi Shankar came out and did "Take me out to the ballgame" on Sitar.
-
Good Point! I wonder if Mark Fidrych was ever on acid on the mound? Would explain some of the behavior.
-
Pulled out my John Mayall "Beano Comic" album. Clapton plays his ass off on that one.
-
Yeah, being on Acid and knowing there is someone standing in front of me with the possibility of driving a ball straight at my head at 100 MPH would be a real downer.

It's a good point about the venue. The Fillmore in Denver is much larger than the clubs I usually go to so that could be a factor in not connecting with Vetiver. Plus I had never heard a single thing by them.

Of course there are plenty of stories of Mickey Mantle and others playing while drunk but that just does not seem as impressive. My experience with LSD is very limited though. I just remember quite a bit of giggling and zoning out. It was a long time ago.

Would be interesting to see video. His pupils were probably huge! Diving out of the way of a ball that does not even get to you, that's the kind of stuff I was picturing. Thanks for sending that description.

I have been on LSD and I can't imagine trying to function effectively in front of thousands of people and actually perform well. Never could understand how Hendrix could play guitar on LSD either. We tried smoking pot before practice once and spent the next 3 hours trying to tune our instruments.
