  1. Good to know, I certainly didn't remember hearing it but there was a lot of chaos at the end. They were having way too much fun for it to end (wishful thinking).
  2. That scene with Todd paying a visit to Jesse's girlfriend with Jesse in the car was about as dark a moment as I have ever seen in television. Can't see how they are going to wrap it all up in one episode. Will it be like the Sopranos fade to black type thing?
  3. Wow, you are the first person I have heard say that about the Isbell album.
  4. Incredible show and beautiful weather the first night. Along with Superchunk, GBV, Stooges and Replacements I saw Dismemberment plan and Bosnian Rainbows as well. What a day. I loved Paul muffing his leads. Throwing his guitar on the stage and beating it with his shoe. Putting it back on and not missing a beat. So many great moments. The Replacements' Denver set list (9/21/13) 1. "Takin a Ride" 2. "I'm in Trouble" 3. "Favorite Thing" 4. "Shiftless When Idle" 5. "Hangin Downtown" 6. "Color Me Impressed" 7. "Jingle Jangle Jingle" (snippet) 8. "Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out"/"Third Stone F
  5. I had a bit too much beer at the local brewery and signed my bill "Dick Gozinya" to get a cheap and immature laugh from people. Am I going to get in trouble or does anyone even look at the signature?
  6. I live near Boulder and It's a good question. Things are drying up pretty quick at this point. Colorado is as dry as Arizona normally so I am hopefull. Looks like the weekend will be in the low 80's so should be great. I actually don't think it will be a mud pit but could be wrong. Looks like we could have almost a week without rain. Would love to buy you a beer at the show! Edit: Forget what I said about no rain. It's raining now. Could be a muddy mess on Saturday.
  7. Great to hear. Seeing them in T minus 5 days...was starting to think the rain was going to ruin my chances of seeing them forever.
  8. That piece of acting Cranston did, being horrible to his wife while being absolutely heartbroken by what he was saying was just stunning. One of those roles he just owns and you can't imagine anyone else playing the part now.
  9. I must be high playing over the speakers pre-show at Jason Isbell
  10. Have you tried the "I will answer your questions" thread? Or maybe this: I got nothing.
  11. I'll say, sounds pretty much like a mash up to me.
  12. Well I would agree with that at least. If the show comes down to a ricin coated knife fight between Walt and Jesse I will be rooting for Jesse. But I do worry about myself that I want Walt to get away with everything.
  13. For some odd reason I'm still rooting for Walt and I can't figure out why as he is pretty much a horrible human being. I don't think things will end well for him however. No way Hank and Gomie can walk away from this, is there? Unless of course some type of cavalry shows up.
  14. Just finished this one. Barry Fey was pretty much the Zelig of rock and roll. This validated all the bad things I have ever heard about Bill Graham. I know Bill was a rival but Fey didn't have bad things to say about other promoters. Certainly a big ego on Barry but it was an enjoyable read.
  15. Amazing show (Isbell). After he did "cover me up" the crowd basiclly gave him a very long standing ovation. The band actually seemed a bit surprised by it. Pretty cool moment and a testament to the power of that song.
  16. Never thought I would see the day I would be contemplating spending $100 to get even more self portrait material...
  17. I was too distracted by the whole tongue thing she was doing to really enjoy the artistry.
  18. I showed up a day too early for a concert once and found out this band was playing with garage a trois. Since we were there already we took a shot and went in. This band was amazing. The next day I went to the airport and saw the bass player from the band standing there with his small amplifier so chatted with him a bit. I had actually forgotten about them.
  19. Records I keep going back to this year, not ready to rank yet: Jason Isbell - Southeastern Queens of the stone age - Like Clockwork Parquet courts - light up gold - This one may have been late 2012 officially. The national - Trouble will find me Deerhunter - Monomania Savages - Silence yourself I won't lie, I was pretty disappointed with the new Dawes and Son Volt. Been listening to more old stuff this year than usual for some reason although there is plenty of good new stuff.
  20. So very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies.
