  1. I have a very hard time not finishing a book once I start. Probably have a handful in my life. The one that comes to mind is "Dune" which I'm sure is sacrilage to some. The other thing I never do is re-read a book. Seems like I am in the minority on that which amazes me.
  2. 7am, 11am, and 4pm. Giving it my best shot!

  4. I wondered if you were ever coming back! Good to see you have not mellowed out in the absence.
  5. Yay, my SG is here! Loving it so far. Exact tone I was looking for, just have to teach it to play nice with my Bruno Amp but so far so good. I'm really liking the vibrato on it, seems very simple but so far the guitar goes right back in tune. Can't wait to bust this out at an upcoming gig.
  6. Working my way through the series "Friday night lights". Was pretty happy to hear Muzzle of Bees prominantly featured during season 2 episode 1!

  8. Well some people may remember it...
  9. Since you brought up outdoor sound, I am so pissed at the sound the Shins had at Red Rocks last night. I can't believe I'm not hearing other complaints. I never leave a concert early but we packed up and left. Granted I was up near the top of the venue but the openers sounded just fine from up there. Then Shins came out and I thought it was a joke or something. It was so soft I could swear the drums were not even mic'd. I could actually have a normal conversation with people next to me during the show. All you could hear was vocals, everything else was barely perceptible. I can't beli
  10. Amazing, legendary performer. Love that Travis picking style which he was amazing at. And he was a better flatpicker. RIP.
  11. The Shins at Red Rocks tonight.
  12. Would be glad to buy you a beer (Red rocks both nights). Let me know where and when!
  13. My top picks for the year so far. The Shins album continues to grow on me. "40 Mark Strasse" is certainly one of my favorite songs of the year. 1. Beach House 2. Mark Lanegan 3. The Shins
  14. GWB was successful in business?

  16. Let's not confuse marketing with artistry, unless you consider marketing an art, which is kind of fair now that I think about it. A hideous art but maybe an art nonetheless. So never mind, ignore my first sentence.

I posted this on facebook. Waiting for someone to ask me why Wilco is covering the theme song from That 70's show...
  18. That's kind of how I felt. Been a struggle for me to connect to much this year but this one and the Lanegan one are my top choices so far.
  19. Oh man, if I could lead my band down that path successfully.....
  20. I'm impressed with anyone that writes their own songs but other than that, I think she tries way too hard to be edgy and exciting and she bores me to tears.
