  1. Wilco fans can't really complain about lack of shows... 2013 (48)2012 (96)2011 (58)2010 (71)2009 (76)2008 (70)2007 (82)2006 (51)2005 (63)2004 (52)2003 (53)2002 (86)
  2. i am not sure where you live, but Beck is also playing Providence later this summer.
  3. not that strong as last year, that's for sure. some that are hitting the spot: Hospitality - Trouble Mogwai - Rave Tapes Real Estate - Atlas Agalloch - The Serpent and the Sphere Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell - Check 'em Before You Wreck 'em Sleaford Mods - Divide and Exit Warpaint - S/T and at least one of the GBV records...still have to put more time into them. i'm sure there are more I'm missing (and OM is due for a new one later in the Fall). edit - spurred by WRP's post, i forgot the excellent English Oceans as the Angel Olsen record. that's pretty good.
  4. nothing goes better together than GBV and beer. http://www.dogfish.com/community/blogfish/members/justin-williams/beer-thousand-celebrates-%E2%80%A820th-anniversary-of-seminal-guided-by-voices-album.htm
  5. Yeah saw her last night without knowing one shred about her.
  6. i was happy to see Sam Rivers before he died. unfortunately, no photos though.
  7. it's a secret. watch for the tweet.
  8. i know 99.99% of VCers don't know this band, but they have some good songs ("Expecting To Fly," "Ghost Of Some Cold Street"). Chris also did some nice vocals for This Kind Of Punishment, and released a rather startling good solo record a few years back: http://www.discogs.com/Chris-Matthews-Robot-Monkey-Orchestra-The-Map-Of-Love/release/1528678
  9. hey Beatles fans - http://www.analogplanet.com/content/beatles-get-back-mono-and-aaa-vinyl
  10. yeah....Marcy Playground or Better Than fucking Ezra seems to be a sensible yardstick.
  11. Sadly, The Church probably belongs in this thread, despite having dozens of stellar songs that aren't Under The Milky Way.
  12. not to mention "Loser" edit - i guess that was the hit. my favorite all-time Beck song is "Asshole," but that didn't get much radio play.
  13. shots and review from last night: http://digboston.com/boston-music-concerts/2014/06/review-fotobom-sharon-van-etten-at-the-sinclair/
  14. i left around 11ish or so...i slid over to the right for ~30 seconds, then went upstairs and took some shots from the stairs and the center balcony. squeezed my way back down stairs and it was jammed...couldn't really find a place to see much of anything so i left. sounded good, though!
