  1. i know 99.99% of VCers don't know this band, but they have some good songs ("Expecting To Fly," "Ghost Of Some Cold Street"). Chris also did some nice vocals for This Kind Of Punishment, and released a rather startling good solo record a few years back: http://www.discogs.com/Chris-Matthews-Robot-Monkey-Orchestra-The-Map-Of-Love/release/1528678
  2. hey Beatles fans - http://www.analogplanet.com/content/beatles-get-back-mono-and-aaa-vinyl
  3. yeah....Marcy Playground or Better Than fucking Ezra seems to be a sensible yardstick.
  4. Sadly, The Church probably belongs in this thread, despite having dozens of stellar songs that aren't Under The Milky Way.
  5. not to mention "Loser" edit - i guess that was the hit. my favorite all-time Beck song is "Asshole," but that didn't get much radio play.
  6. shots and review from last night: http://digboston.com/boston-music-concerts/2014/06/review-fotobom-sharon-van-etten-at-the-sinclair/
  7. i left around 11ish or so...i slid over to the right for ~30 seconds, then went upstairs and took some shots from the stairs and the center balcony. squeezed my way back down stairs and it was jammed...couldn't really find a place to see much of anything so i left. sounded good, though!
  8. hey Knotgreen, nice to meet you last night, thanks for coming up and saying hello. I got totally screwed when the stage hands put that keyboard stand w/ blanket right in front of me before Sharon played.
  9. we won't know until the Albany shows, I'm guessing...my friend bought tickets for both Boston shows too.
  10. i turned down really good seats for King Crimson that were about $170 and went for the $85 seat in the 2nd row of the mezzanine. i don't need to be that close to Fripp, and figured the sound would be a lot better.
  11. Did you see Steve Gunn? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I didn't, sorry. i was running a bit late and finding parking on sunday was harder than expected.
  13. make sure you get there early enough to catch Steve Gunn.
  14. yep, i remember that too. and like WRP, i felt like that was such an amazing show.
  15. maybe someone in the band lives in Albany. seriously, that's a weird city to include on an itinerary like that.
