well he's got a great one backing him. Wurster and Narducy are awesome, and equally as funny online. i highly recommend following their Facebook pages.

i agree that Tortelli is a blow-hard asshole, but i think he was talking about if he coached the Olympic team, where 100% jingoistic participation is pretty much mandatory. -

Collegiate musicians and theatre majors are completely overpaid. Did you hear how much the orchestra conductor at UConn got for a shoe endorsement deal with Hush Puppies? -

that's awesome! There were about 60 or so people at The Sinclair tonight. they had a decent amount of swag but only called three numbers, which i thought was a bit weird... the woman who had the first number called grabbed the LP, a slipmat, the gum and something else. i figured they should have doled out one item per ticket, but then again i wasn't running the thing.

i never got around to listing my other 5, so here goes. Melvins @ The Paradise, 03-04Jun 2011. I'd seen The Melvins a bunch of times already, but this tour was something special. Over two nights, they played five releases (Houdini, Stoner Witch, Bullhead, Lysol, and Eggnog). Robyn Hitchcock @ TT's, 18Jun 1989 I was kinda late to hop on the Hitchcock train, and finally saw him play on the Queen Elvis tour, at Berklee. At the end of the show, he mentioned that they set up a last-minute show the following night at TTs, and the set list was wildly ranging (i recall "I Got The Hots" and "O -

Boris put on one hell of a show at PsychoLV, and their lighting was amazing for once. plus it was nice to shoot w/ a pit, and the entire show as well.

How do you listen to your music during the day?
tinnitus photography replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
morning drive, iPod in my car. editing photos, mp3s via foobar over headphones. if i can help it, mostly LPs over my stereo. -
i misunderstood your post as being the longest show in the US by anyone.

yeah i shot Phish at one of the Fenway shows, years ago. two good friends of mine are huge fans so i went w/ them.
-
if i hadn't just seen Sabbath and then a 3 day music fest in Vegas, i'd go see Monolord and Beastmaker tonight. i've actually seen Phish twice, once being the historic gig when they self-booked the show at The Paradise in '89.

i don't mind floor-mounted devices but music stands suck! they get in the way of my photos. i've seen a few people use them... as mentioned, Gira uses them mainly because on tour he tends to play very new material that's not been released yet. i saw Johnny Lydon use one for PiL, and Thurston Moore when he played Psychic Hearts (though to his defense, the record was over 15 years old and i am sure most of those songs were never played live).
