i did three shows (Sleep; Marty Willson-Piper; FLAG) before heading to Iceland, and though the festival was canceled we did get to see Sleep and Thee Oh Sees/Angel Olsen shows. I was posting older photos taken at ATP as a memorial. I actually shot Phish at Fenway a while back... put in for it as two good friends are massive Phish fans. DO NOT FORGET EAR PLUGS. seriously. you will damage your hearing. Gira's got a thing for thunderous volume. I've seen this lineup four times now and this is their last go-round before Gira dissolves Swans into some new form. It's not easy listening, but

i also heard that i'm very likely to be approved for the Paul McCartney show at Fenway... i shot him there before, but am happy to have another go at it, as i didn't bring a step stool and was not super psyched w/ my shots.

New Robyn Hitchcock album will feature Pat Sansone
tinnitus photography replied to Kim Bodnia's topic in Just A Fan
i find the concept of an Englishman like Robyn living in the sweaty hellhole of the South somewhat humorous. though i guess that Ray Davies survived in NOLA for a while, so anything's possible.- 5 replies

yeah after seeing the NO FRACKING sticker on his Jazzmaster a few years ago, i figured he wasn't pals with Charlton Heston or Dick Cheney. -

Ticketmaster Settlement refund
tinnitus photography replied to dagwave's topic in Someone Else's Song
a friend of mine put it pretty well: So in review after systematically ripping off their customers for 15+ years this is the punishment for Ticketmaster: 1- They get to fill venues that would otherwise be 1/3 or 1/2 full and are not forced to give away tickets to highly in-demand events. They aren't losing tickets that otherwise would have been sold. 2- Only one "money off" voucher can be used per purchase which essentially makes it a coupon. $2.50 is such an insignificant amount of money (won't even offset fees) that these are likely going to encourage more ticket sales. 3- This lawsuit i -

Dungen on Aquarium Drunkard
tinnitus photography replied to tinnitus photography's topic in Someone Else's Song
the comp is comprised of pretty rare/hard to find 70s Swedish prog/psych bands... Reine (Dungen gtr) i think works pretty closely w/ Subliminal Sounds, who have an outstanding track record in reissuing those sorts of bands, as well as current stuff too. if i had a time machine i'd be OK w/ Stockholm, 1974. this song is so, so awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0P4_fmv1qE -

The Amazing also sing in English, and Reine plays guitar w/ them. I do have that Life On Earth record, and should pull it off the shelves tonight. you know what compilation is just totally great? man this is so good. i've never heard Dungen sing in English before, and it sounds a bit strange. i am actually kinda bummed that i'll be in London during the time they play The Sinclair next week. http://www.aquariumdrunkard.com/2016/06/08/the-lagniappe-sessions-dungen-cover-aphex-twin-and-wil-malone/
