Cool! I'm wearing an orange button-up shirt, and will be with my girlfriend. Both in our late twenties. Come say hi if you feel like it!

I'm super excited to be seeing Sufjan Stevens this evening. I was shut out of the presale, and had no luck during the regular on sale. I had accepted the fact that I wouldn't be going, but continued to check Ticketmaster once or twice a day. A week or two ago I logged in and pulled 6th row center. Sort of can't believe it! I'm in love with his new record, and can't wait to hear those songs live!

If you're willing to make the haul to Monson, MA you should check out Tree House Brewing. They recently started canning their beers (in addition to growler fills), and they are pumping out some amazing beer. I've been drinking more TH than Trillium lately, myself. Ha!

Ryan Adams Live @ Carnegie Hall Vinyl Box Set
knotgreen replied to PopQuizKat's topic in Someone Else's Song
I so regret not picking up the vinyl set. I had it in my cart and decided it was too expensive. Ugh.... Listening on Spotify until I can find it at a reasonable price. -
Pretty cool -- the entire set was professionally recorded. Not all of it has been posted, but a handful of songs... Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_1190590363&feature=iv&src_vid=xpZrRDjExo0&v=_H2o217hqJU

Thank you for checking!

that would be incredible. would happily take you up on that!

How's the Blitzen Trapper LP? This was the only release I wanted on RSD and I couldn't find a copy... They're on eBay for 4X retail price...

Was just going to post about this. I'm going to try for the Mats show also. Maybe even Passion Pit, though I'm not a big fan. Could be fun!

ha! "cooled' is more like it. I'm no expert on the subject, but there was a good piece recently published about wild beers by Wired magazine. The writer actually visits Allagash: http://www.wired.com/2015/03/the-very-best-beer/

I had an awesome trip up to Portland, ME last weekend for Allagash's release of Resurgam, one of their limited Coolship beers. This is the type of beer that I'd drink most often, if I could. The bottle reads: Coolship Resurgam is brewed with Pilsner malt, raw wheat and aged hops. The beer is cooled overnight using outside air temperature in a traditional large shallow pan known as a "coolship." During the cooling process, naturally occurring microflora from the air inoculates the beer, and in the morning it is transferred into French oak wine barrels where the entire fermentation and aging t

You should teach a 101 Concert Photography class, Tim. I'd enroll. Great pics, as always. -
Awesome to hear! His hoppy beers really are fantastic. I went in on Saturday for a growler fill of Fort Point Pale Ale and wish I got more.

WILCO @Wilco · 5m5 minutes ago We consider the changes to Indiana's RFRA a good first step. Our May 7 show at The Murat is back on. Details: http://bit.ly/WilcoMURAT Quoted from Facebook: We consider the changes to Indiana’s RFRA a good first step toward creating the sort of welcoming environment we encourage everywhere, so we’re reinstating our May 7 show at The Murat, which we canceled earlier this week. To quote an Indiana University statement from yesterday, "religious liberty and equal protection under the law are both cornerstones of our democracy and they should not be in conflic

Boxer was the album that got me. Specifically the song "Mistaken for Strangers," which is still a favorite. I find myself listening to High Violet and their latest, Trouble Will Find Me, the most. They are definitely one of the better rock bands I've ever seen. The Dessner brothers are a lot of fun to watch, and Matt's a total lunatic when he gets into it (or when he's into the white wine).

I'm down! Boston local here, but travel around New England for beer.

Good albums, but great shows.

A new song, Sunshine on my Back, available on Spotify! http://pitchfork.com/news/59095-the-national-release-sunshine-on-my-back/

Tiinnitus, have you made it over to Trillium yet? Their IPAs are a must. Fort Point Pale Ale puts Zombie Dust to shame, IMO.

Totally understand what you're saying, Hwllo. Limited beers that do see some local distribution often end up at bottle shops where they remain behind the counter for regulars, or off the shelf and available to "those in the know" who care to ask for them. It stinks for both the customer and the shop, really. I was just in VT and went to a shop for a four pack of Heady Topper. Heady is the #1 rated beer on Beer Advocate. There is a website, Heady Spotter, dedicated to finding out when and where it's being delivered. I've waited an hour in line at a co op grocery store in Montpelier, VT on a ra

I'm having so much fun reading the FB comments. "I guess Wilco forgets what took place with the Dixie Chicks. Wilco can say goodbye to their music career as they are done now." Goodbye, Wilco
