I've seen them twice since the new album came out, and the shows have been great. Graceless and I Need My Girl are highlights... Aside from TWFM tracks, they are mostly playing High Violet songs. Predictable setlist, enjoyable nonetheless. As expected, TWFM has grown on me, and I absolutely adore it.

This band is so much fun live.

Boston Calling Festival! (Mostly to see The National)

Wow. Great set, and beautiful print. Glad you had a nice time, I'm incredibly jealous!

I pulled 2 GA Pit tickets for Mansfield, MA but just couldn't pull the trigger. $106.80/ticket for an abbreviated Wilco set (& 2 other bands I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to see).

That's funny... When/where did he say that?

Mansfield pricing: US $60.00 - US $90.00 US $60.00 Ticket + US $14.00 Fees = US $74.00 US $90.00 Ticket + US $16.70 Fees = US $106.70 Ouch!

woah. thanks.

Like all new The National material, I'm not totally crazy about it... but I'm sure this will change after a few listens, and I will think it's their best yet. I'm really excited for this album.

Seeing her tonight in Cambridge, MA. Can't wait.

that's how i feel about 99% of the suggestions here. i mean no offense to those recommending songs, but the last thing i want is for a night of wilco covering classic rock hits. a night of "deep tracks" or b-sides, however, would be pretty fantastic.

this is a heartbreaker. listening to songs: ohia now.

Email update from Higher Ground: Wilco's Friday Night Solid Sound Set to be All Requests We're excited to announce that Wilco's Friday night set will consist of 100% requested material from you, the fans! This includes Wilco songs as well as originals. Comedian John Hodgman will host the show and include a very special segment of "Stump The Band," in which he will take requests from the audience to see if the band can play them on the spot. This should make for an interesting set! Has the band ever done anything like this before (aside from the request page on the site)?

I felt this way for the longest time, then several months ago I took a video of 1 song at a show I was at. Since then, I've been on a mission to record 1 full song at each show I go to. I try and be courteous about not blocking anyone's view and don't really think that what i'm doing makes me a "bad fan." We all experience and appreciate the live music in different ways. This is a fun little mission, and I'm not causing harm to anyone else. You may enjoy the show by standing in place & bobbing your head up and down; I may enjoy the show by sharing a photo or video with friends. At the end

I think YLT would be the only band on the bill (except for Wilco, of course) that would keep a crowd around for Sunday. If not them, then probably Neko Case? MMW? I'm sure these details will come trickling in.
-
So, thoughts on YLT opening for Wilco one of the two nights?
-
I thought you were making a joke! I noticed you went back and edited, and now I look like a lunatic for misquoting you, and quoting jeff from a show a decade ago.

If at all possible, I think I love Jeff even more after listening to this.

Man, The Sinclair is such a great little venue. I'd love to see Jeff there-- though I think it's probably a little too small.

They have been really inconsistent with their communication with me for the past two months or so. We stayed there last year and it was great; I was hoping to return this year, but I'm really not sure what's going on.

I was referring to years previous--- sorry if that was unclear. I suppose the point I was trying to make is that SSF doesn't feature any band, aside from Wilco, that I actively seek out. maybe this year will be different... regardless, i'm totally stoked for 2 nights of wilco.
