  1. his voice, if anything, has improved. a couple things that really shocked/impressed me: how attentive & respectful the audience was and how well those songs translate to just vocals & guitar. i said it over on the elephant 6 board too, but i'll repeat here... i was so impressed that he came out for the 2nd encore. i guess i was under the impression that he was a sort of cranky guy who was going to come out, mumble a few things, play, and walk off. instead he seemed really genuinely happy and appreciative. he thanked the audience a million times! what an incredible show! definitel
  2. anyone attend the sanders theatre in cambridge last night? i can't believe how incredible that show was... definitely exceeding expectations!
  3. A 1st attempt at 'Sunday Morning' lyrics: This is how I tell it, oh but it’s long One Sunday Morning, oh the sun is gone (?? Silhouette dawning), over the sea My father said what I had become, no one should be Outside I look lived in, like the -- in a shrine How am I forgiven? Oh I get time This I learned without warning, Holding my brow In time you thought I would kill him Oh but I didn’t know how I said it’s your god I don’t believe in No, your bible can’t be true Knocked down by the limelight He cried I fear what’s for you I can hear those bells Spoken at dawn I feel relief,

  7. Got a pair for night #1 at the Ryman. Sec 1, Row P. I'm not stoked about my tickets either night, but maybe I'm just being greedy. Either way, it's time to book airfare/ hotel!
  8. Ha! That was quite an experience-- I wouldn't have had it any other way! Are you guys making the trip up to Boston? I think we're only doing Boston and Nashville. I'm very excited. I'm sure I'll be seeing you! T
  9. that's exactly where i'm sitting for the 2nd night. they aren't far back, but the angle kinda stinks. might try and find other seats...

  12. Boston, Pit 4 on the aisle. Trying for Nashville in an hour!
  13. Aren't the shows usually listed on frontgate by now? I feel like this presale is going to be tougher than usual...
  14. it was my first time trying something like this, but i recorded it and cut it into 20 tracks. am i allowed to share?
  15. thinking of flying from boston to nashville to see the two at the ryman. i'll have to see how the presale goes!
  16. I also stayed at the Williamstown Motel. The communication between the owner and I before our stay was very strange. I think he was worried that we weren't going to show up (and he also realized he could make more $$ b/c of the high demand). Regardless, he was very kind when we arrived and the room was just fine. My father and I had a great time again this year. I want to say thanks to the many people near us on Saturday (up front, centerish) that not only made the rain tolerable, but turned the whole ordeal into a really entertaining/ pleasant experience. I'm really not a festival person, b
  17. the track that jeff was playing solo, 'born to die alone', sounds soooooooo good with the full band. i never thought that that quiet acoustic number could become something so.... so wilco. it's great. and i think there were 3 new ones.... i might, whole love, and born to die alone.
  18. i think we heard the title track tonight at solid sound. good, but i don't think it's the strongest of the new ones.
  19. wilco tweet: "is rehearsing new material at an undisclosed location in Western New England today."
  20. tickets go on sale this morning for a show in northhampton, ma. http://www.academyofmusictheatre.com/home/ good luck!
  21. So.... Joe's field opens when the venue opens. I've got mixed feelings about this. It seems crazy to sit there all day, and unfair to put a chair down to reserve a spot. Speaking hypothetically... is it fair to assume that people won't congregate until the usual 1-2hrs before showtime? What is nice is that there won't be that mad dash to the front. That was dangerous last year.
