I read Shakey a few years ago and the one thing that stood out for me from his entire musical career was his disdain for the music business's corporate faction. He always bucked the system right when they were trying to capitalize on him to an unacceptable degree in his eyes. One could see this as his way of keeping the music where it should be, for his fans. One could also see this as keeping the money where it should be, in the artist's pocket. Either way I'm not dropping $200 on a show out of principle. $58 in a heartbeat but $200 in a 5000 seat venue no way. I don't see it as anything but

He's playin a great venue here in Cincinnati but I'm sure tickets are going to be around $200 and I just don't know if I'll pull the trigger. Shouldn't 200 get you like backstage and a poster and a couple picks or something...or just a seat half way up the balcony.

I'll be on the road Sat when Jeff at the Vic and MMJ in Lexington go one sale. My troops will be assembled with my credit card ready but one can still be nervous. Be driving up to Chicago friday morning for the Vic,home in time for a drunken surprise party for a friend Saturday, and down to Lexington sunday for Keenland and MMJ. I married a great woman...hopefully my shits not in the front yard when I get home.

Just kinda dawned on me I haven't seen any discussion of this album since it came out. I personally got it as about a 8 out of 10. I think it is an all around great piece of art from the vinyl sleeve to the song arrangement to the very last note. I'm putting it up with Bright Eyes best stuff. Just a little surprised by the lack of discussion.

Simply put this is union busting. Union wages and benefits set the standard for the non-union industry whatever it may be. This is America, we need standards. Where do wage and benefit standards come from without unions.

Home Depots main brand is Behr which is damn good paint. It covers well. We were doing the old multiple single purchase trick with $5 off per gallon coupons. They probably have an "OOPS" dept as well where they sell returns.

I agree. That blue tape is kinda like those things they put in the gutters for kids to bowl. If you know its there you bowl/paint like a maniac. Usually your pretty dissapointed when you remove the tape...freehand it. Also you might want to ask somebody where your buying the paint what can go over what . Im no expert but if your existing walls are oil based you are going to want to prime them first.
