  1. I respect her, but the music is not my cup of tea.
  2. That's it. They are doing that one on the current tour.
  3. Probably somewhat similar to all the White Stripe fans who bought Van Lear Rose.
  4. I think this is the first Rush thread we have had around here. What's that song Aimee Mann sings on? That video cracks me up. I was surprised that Les Claypool was not in the recent documentary more - as I recall, there is only one or two clips of him talking about the band.
  5. I have a bootleg of the film. I may try to go see it tonight.
  6. The Black Crowes: Who Killed That Bird Out On Your Windowsill?(1992) Freak 'n' Roll...Into the Fog: The Black Crowes All Join Hands, The Fillmore, San Francisco (2006) Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson: Brothers of a Feather - Live at the Roxy (2007)
  7. There are Rush shows being posted at Dime a Dozen almost everyday as of late.
  8. He does not even record those duets with the person in the same room. It's a shame he is stuck doing those albums. But, I don't even think he had a record contract in this country until the first one of those cover album he did.
  9. As you probably know, he is not really into people bothering him. That is one of reasons that guy rides with him I think. There is a photo on his site somewhere from the last tour that shows him standing outside a gas station in the town where I grew up.
  10. The Hunt for Atlantis The Tomb of Hercules The Secret of Excalibur The Covenant of Genesis -Andy McDermott You Never Give Me Your Money: The Beatles After the Breakup -Peter Doggett Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek and the Dominos (Rock of Ages) -Jan Reid Dangerously Funny: The Uncensored Story of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour -David Bianculli
  11. Neil just posted a new update on his News, Weather, and Sports site: Cruel Summer
  12. Another Billboard article: Bruce Springsteen Premieres 'Darkness' Doc, Chats with Edward Norton Racing In The Street is one of my favorite Bruce songs.
  13. They called it that as they were not doing very well at the time.
  14. I am not a fan of By-Tor and The Snow Dog either. I have heard that the new album is going to be some sort of concept album, or at least contain some epic length tracks.
  15. They played Georgia on My Mind the other night when they were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. I would like to hear that.
  16. I don't need that. I believe the song has been played a few times since then.
  17. I could go for that, except for The Necromancer. I have never cared much for that epic.
  18. Although there are exceptions, I am not really a fan of someone singing solo with an electric guitar. Neil does what he does though.
  19. I think Alex has also spoke of doing a show where they play lesser known songs, or songs that never really got played. But I think that is really unrealistic, unless their is enough die hard Rush fanatics that would show up to make it worth their while. I think when I saw them a while back the crowd definitely consisted of people who were very familiar with the band, and knew what was going on. As far as I could tell, people seemed to be really into the show. I am not really familiar with their albums past Moving Pictures, so a lot of the songs they played were new to me.
  20. Another Billboard article about the new album: Neil Young Goes Electric for 'Le Noise'
  21. I didn't think it was very good. Some funny stuff, but not really a lot of music talk.
  22. I was listening to Anthem of The Sun and the bonus track jams on the re-issue of Aoxomoxoa the other day.
  23. A lot of people seem to want Jacob's Ladder. I would like to see them play Here Again/Before And After, The Fountain of Lamneth, or a A Farewell To Kings show.
