I always like to hear the first album when the weather turns nice.
-
It is loose, that's for sure.
-
I never got into them, but I really like The Marshall Tucker Band.
-
I like the version that is on the box set.
-
I'll put the other one up at some point.
-
I posted that mainly due to the frustration a couple people here have had trying to post a Webcast sourced show at Dime a Dozen. There is no need for someone else to go through the same deal.
-
Ok - I don't know if this is the same version that is on the covers compilation or not. To me they sound different. This one is about 50 seconds longer. I ripped this from WAV to FLAC from a cd I have called "Various Black Crowes Songs". The Black Crows - Dreams

What I have seen lately is that only a few get the webcast - due to the fact it only gets posted here. I think if someone wants it, they should figure out how to capture the stream and record it themselves. I am not really a fan of webcasts, that is, messing with them for archival purposes. I suppose we are technically in the clear, as they have no language that bans anyone from doing so. You know this already, so I don't need to tell you. But, I will post it again:

Chicago (Tanglewood, Lenox, MA. - July 21, 1970)

Crowesbase gave me 79 shows when I searched. Of course, not all of them feature Jimmy Herring.
-
I can see what he is saying. It seems that way due to the length of Mountain Jam.
-
I am going out of town over the next few days. I may get to it tonight - if I have time. I am going to dig around on Crowesbase and see if I can figure out the date. I don't think it is the version from the Cover Me With A Good Dream compilation. I think it may be from this show: 14 March 2006 - Fox Theater - Atlanta, GA

Now I remember why I was an independent all those years.

When I looked it up, the news stories I found noted the show as being on The Discovery Channel. Interesting. -

I do know that Palin (one of the Tea Party leaders, along with Glen Beck) has suggested that they (The Tea Party) join up with the Republican Party. I guess she is busy now with her shows Real American Stories (Fox) and Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel. I don't think she is going away any time soon. There are a lot of misguided people out there. Speaking of Mr. Beck, let's not forget:The 9/12 Project. He should get General Bethlehem to join the movement. 9 Principles, 12 Values -
I have a really great live version of Dreams done by The Black Crowes and Jimmy Herring.
-
The re-master has more live stuff than the original release. Melissa is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Another T-Bone Burnett produced album - Gregg Allman & Friends Adds Dates I like that album also. The same with Brothers and Sisters. After that, it is sort of sketchy. I was watching some Black Crowes Cabin Fever videos on Youtube yesterday and noticed Luther was channeling Duane somewhat. Pretty cool.

Eddie Vedder Guests At Who London Show (I guess Billboard now uses AUD shot videos in their news stories.) (I have no idea who Tom Meighan is, but he is doing a good job there. Also, he is wearing a suit like the one Sting wore in the movie.)

I think there is definitely a Yardbirds rave-up/Dick Dale influence going on there.

How about calling it a current resurgence among young people? I don't recall seeing any record albums in stores since cds became the format of choice. I am talking about chain places, not the corner mom and pop record store with used vinyl, and 45s of the local bands. Of course, now cds are on their way out, chain places are going/gone, and you can buy records albums at Best Buy. It seems weird to me. I think it is really only something that has become the in thing to do, and/or something that music freaks collect. Most people I know only listen to the radio, or their music collectio

I've always liked the sound of Jerry's guitar on Cream Puff War.

Rolling Stones' Exile On Main Street Week

Here's another article: Phish Returns To TV During 'Late Night' Stones Week I am glad this will be online somewhere, as I don't stay up that late.
