  1. All of those bands have been releasing new albums and touring. Metallica has been on tour for a couple of years now. I don't know who buys Def Leppard albums these days, but their last album did very well, or so I have read. I don't get the cartoon deal. It seems sort of weird to me. Although, Anthrax is having some trouble these days:
  2. The film is not about Heavy Metal in a musical sense though. (Not that Def Leppard are metal)
  3. Not really. Metalocalypse Heavy Metal (magazine)
  4. Taper's Section (December 21 - December 27, 2009) And don't forget to buy your: Dead-opoly Game
  5. I have heard some of his shows. I listen to the Suzi Quatro Show and Sounds of The 60s.
  6. I don't see how that is all the much different from years past. There is a Beatles blog I look at that has photos taken by fans - and they are really not that much different than what we see today. There are, of course, more photos of fans outside George's house or whatever, but that is due to how open fan access was back then. I think people have always taken photos and video, only now it is digital, and not analog. If there would have been a way for people to share their photographs (besides print media) and 8mm silent footage with the world back in the day, they would have done it. As I
  7. Did you try Wilcobase: Wilcobase listing for The Community Song.
  8. Again, I don't think it is about how much money they are going to make. I have read nothing like that. I don't know enough about Slayer to know their status, but I doubt they are going hungry. And Anthrax, although not as big as they use to be, are still recording and touring. Granted, it will probably be a big payday for them. I think it is about the camaraderie, and the music.
  9. I don't know about that - must of those dudes are millionaires many times over (at least Metallica and Megadeth (Dave)) are, I am sure. I think they are doing it because it is a killer line-up.
  10. And, there is a dude from The Office in the film (Craig Robinson). Two dollars!
  11. Alembic Further Guitar I think Jerry's guitars are on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
  12. I think that is right. I wonder why VH-1 is no longer airing the show. I saw some of the recent DVD releases of the past shows on PBS last weekend. I use to tape all of the shows - at least when they began to show them on TV.
  13. It is sort of funny that this many years down the road they are still inducting the British Invasion bands. The should have figured out who was important after The Beatles and The Stones, and then stuck them all in at the same time. Since they are not doing it that way - I think there are bands from that era that deserve to be in there ahead of The Hollies.
  14. Well, that is another reason - I think it is awful. If I actually get a notion to hear Christmas songs, I am apt to listen to my Beach Boys Christmas album.
  15. I didn't buy it. I think it is the first new Dylan release I have not bought in a long time. I am not really a Christmas music fan, so I didn't really see any sense in buying it.
  16. From Billboard.com: I don't much care for Slayer, but this would be a show to see. I take it Dave and Metallica must have straightened out there differences.
  17. Speaking of Ratdog, I read somewhere the other day that they are going to play the entire Ace album at a show in Jamaica.
  18. And a version from Fallout from the Phil Zone (1997) recorded at the Fillmore East on January 2, 1970.
  19. Taper's Section (December 14 - December 20, 2009)
