  1. Kicking Television is a mutli-track recording. You are not going such a thing out there. What you are going to find are AUD, SBD, FM, and Webstream sourced shows. Here are some links to threads where the same question has been asked: Best Wilco Shows of all time? (March 2008) Top Downloadable Show (June 2009) Favorites? (June 2009) Favorite live shows (August 2009)

  4. I have been working on the hundreds of tracklists I have for my CDRs/DVDRs. In doing so, I found that some of the discs were damaged, which led me to searching for those early Whiskeytown "bootlegs". In the process, I decided to grab all I could find. I have heard a lot of these discs over the years, but not all of them. Whiskeytown - The Freightwhaler Sessions Stranger's Almanac Promo (Those Weren't The Days) The Baseball Park Sessions The Pre-Strangers Almanac Sessions The Forever Valentine Sessions Fucker: The Bug Sessions Fucker: The Hoboken Sessions Drunken Confessions B-Sides and
  5. I will have to check the Zappa stuff on there next time. I don't think I have ever seen any Zappa stuff, except 200 Motels, a BBC documentary about him, various live clips, and some TV stuff.
  6. I watched several rock music documentaries on Netflix over Thanksgiving. I think I remember seeing the Zappa one. I did not watch it though.
  7. I have also read that the band had decided to go on with a new singer regardless of what he does. Maybe things have changed now. It could be that he is really too physically fouled up to put on the type of show he likes to do.
  8. Interesting. I read the other day that there is a 15 camera mix of the Led Zeppelin 02 show out now. I think the complaint these days is more about cell phones filming, than camcorders. OF course, I have not been to a Wilco show for several years now, so I could be wrong.
  9. All of those bands have been releasing new albums and touring. Metallica has been on tour for a couple of years now. I don't know who buys Def Leppard albums these days, but their last album did very well, or so I have read. I don't get the cartoon deal. It seems sort of weird to me. Although, Anthrax is having some trouble these days:
  10. The film is not about Heavy Metal in a musical sense though. (Not that Def Leppard are metal)
  11. Not really. Metalocalypse Heavy Metal (magazine)
  12. Taper's Section (December 21 - December 27, 2009) And don't forget to buy your: Dead-opoly Game
  13. I have heard some of his shows. I listen to the Suzi Quatro Show and Sounds of The 60s.
  14. I don't see how that is all the much different from years past. There is a Beatles blog I look at that has photos taken by fans - and they are really not that much different than what we see today. There are, of course, more photos of fans outside George's house or whatever, but that is due to how open fan access was back then. I think people have always taken photos and video, only now it is digital, and not analog. If there would have been a way for people to share their photographs (besides print media) and 8mm silent footage with the world back in the day, they would have done it. As I
  15. Did you try Wilcobase: Wilcobase listing for The Community Song.
  16. Again, I don't think it is about how much money they are going to make. I have read nothing like that. I don't know enough about Slayer to know their status, but I doubt they are going hungry. And Anthrax, although not as big as they use to be, are still recording and touring. Granted, it will probably be a big payday for them. I think it is about the camaraderie, and the music.
  17. I don't know about that - must of those dudes are millionaires many times over (at least Metallica and Megadeth (Dave)) are, I am sure. I think they are doing it because it is a killer line-up.
  18. And, there is a dude from The Office in the film (Craig Robinson). Two dollars!
  19. Alembic Further Guitar I think Jerry's guitars are on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
  20. I think that is right. I wonder why VH-1 is no longer airing the show. I saw some of the recent DVD releases of the past shows on PBS last weekend. I use to tape all of the shows - at least when they began to show them on TV.
