I'd say that was due to the fact that he probably got off the "medicine".

I suppose it seems that way to me due to the Lucinda Williams announcement that she is going to play entire albums.

Can't argue with that. Speaking of sequencing, I have always found the following weird: Stolen Car - Ramrod - The Price You Pay. I guess he did want to put two bummer songs together there.

From Bruce Springsteen.net: That seems to be the thing to do now, along with bands doing cover albums. At least he hasn't done one of those. Still, I'd love to hear Meeting Across The River.

The announcement is up at Phil's site.

Yes, you are right. We have a thread about in the BT section. -
I know Son Volt ain't exactly superstar, but I thought they would have sold more albums than that.

That's right. I believe prior to 1998, they were not broadcast. There are some great moments among those performances, as well as, some sad stuff. It was quite something to see Peter Green play with Carlos Santana. On the other hand, John's refusal to play with Stu and Doug, was a bummer. Of course, the one that really sticks out is the deal were Frank and Nigel were begging Debbie Harry to let them play when Blondie was inducted. I thought that was in bad taste to show that. Of course, the producers and editors love that sort of thing. What we see on Vh1 is not the whole show, of course. I su

I taped all the ones that were shown on VH1 over the years (or rather, I taped 1998-2007). I figured they would come out some day. The clearance issues for all those artists must have made a lot of work for someone.

Happy Birthday.

I hope you got to sing your birthday song.

Elliott Landy's Dylan photographs I've always liked those photos. I have number 335 hanging on my bulletin board. Mr.Landy has been in the news lately - due to his Woodstock photos. I have a first edition of: Woodstock Vision, The Spirit Of A Generation The Photographs of Elliott Landy. He has recently re-released it. He also did The Band's second album cover, and some Van Morrison albums covers, among others.

I listened to Wide Swing Tremolo recently. I think it had been years since I listened to that album.

How Is Kicking Television holding up?
Analogman replied to Livin' in New Orleans's topic in Just A Fan
I suppose the album will always mean something to me as I was there. I was right in front of the dude who yells out "Heavy Metal Drummer." I don't know the last time I played it. I have over 300 Gigabytes of Wilco shows now. So I am more likely to break out one of those if I want to hear some live Wilco. -
Is that some sort of vocal effect on the dude's voice? It seems to me they are trying to make his phrasing sound like the sort of deal Layne would use.

The latest Ryan Adams thread
Analogman replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Someone Else's Song
I was going to say that people often speak of that song. Henry Rollins Intv: Ryan Adams I probably would still rather listen to Faithless Street. -

Maybe that is not the right word to use. I know most people love it. I bought it and listened to it when it came out, buy have not played it in years. I just find it lacking somehow. Maybe sterile is the word I am looking for. -

He has been on there off and on before. He also use to advertise the RAA as the "official Ryan Adams message board." That's the album people often say is their favorite. I respect the way it was made, but it is to poppy/laidback/sanitized for me. Sometimes, I think Ethan Johns is the new Jeff Lynne. I hope he does not repeat himself. Of course, I also wish he would bring back the twang, so there you go.
