  1. I'm good at making excuses also. You should get a Twitter account.
  2. I'd say someone who promotes themselves and their music over and over and over again is more annoying than someone starting a single thread and going away. We have it made here. On a couple of other message boards I am on, people are banned who do that sort of thing. Sometimes a loose screw needs to find a screwdriver.
  3. No remixing, just re-mastering. I hope they used the master tapes, and not some digital transfer that was done in the 1980s. I think it depends on if you had the Capitol versions, or the EMI/Apple versions of the records. I grew up with the Capitol versions.
  4. I would like to have this: Up for bidding is Neil Peart′s first Slingerland drum set purchased shortly after he joined Rush in late 1974 and used through the recording of 2112. (I stuck this here as we don't have a Rush thread. Maybe we will someday.)
  5. Smells Like Nirvana (The Dick Van Patten sandwich deal kills me every time.) UHF (I like that movie.)
  6. That's interesting. You would hate the The Complete Blue Horizon Sessions 1967–1969 (Fleetwood Mac boxset) then. I suppose that does not bother me. I think what bugs me is when things start being re-mixed or have things added to tracks after the fact.
  7. The Stones could have done that also. But, they did not. I suppose they are going for the big money on this deal.

    Spin

As The Dude pointed out, you can get it as a digital issue. I read another article the other day about the demise of music magazines. I wonder if they have cut back on distributing. Which is odd, as I see Spin everywhere, particularity in supermarkets.
  9. You can get the FLAC files at the Wilco Archive. If you go to Wilcobase and do a search on the song, you may find that there are other shows at the Wilco Archive that contain the song as well.
  10. I'm not. I had the wrong show linked to up there, it is the right show now.
  11. Usually, it is something you should do yourself, but the NYC Taper Source offers his shows in a Mp3 format.
  12. I think so. I've read recently that the new KISS album will be sold only at Walmart. It looks like Gene and Paul are doing a deal like AC/DC did. It will be a good chance to pick up the KISS re-masters I don't have for a good price (hopefully).
  13. I have not seen anything as of tonight.
  14. Go the Wilco Archive and check out the version from June 06, 2004 (Pittsburgh).
  15. Grateful Dead Live at Roosevelt Stadium on 1972-07-18 New releases at Dead.net: Road Trips Volume 2 Number 4 - Cal Expo '93 Jerry Garcia Band: San Francisco Bay Area 1978 You can listen to some of it here.
  16. Pearl Jam: 'Back' To The Future (5 page article at Billboard.com) Of course, they are not the first to offer shows with a purchase of a cd. The Black Crowes offered that deal with the purchase of Lions back in the day.
  17. I wonder if he was already in the country? Or did he fly all the way from the UK just for that appearance?
  18. Speaking of grocery stores: Been Caught Stealing
  19. For what it's worth, this is printed at the end of the thank yous in the A.M. CD booklet:
  20. That's interesting. I did a search and nothing came up.
  21. I noticed that. I figure the one I read came from the public library.
