RE: Three From The Vault I was just reading a Phil interview in The Grateful Dead Reader and apparently, the reason this show did not come out when it was originally suppose to was due to the fact that he voted against releasing it. The reason - he said it was a bad show.

Me too - with my Grandma - I was 5 years old.

I recall there is a thread about this - but, I was reading his site the other day and he talks about buying postcards to mail to all the fans who sent him stuff on this last tour. So, I guess he prefers that sort of interaction.

He probably would have turned security loose on you. If you look at his website and the blog entries from this past year, you can see photos of him riding around where I grew up and various places in WV.

Although it is not a film for the family to sit down and enjoy after Sunday dinner - I feel that Leaving Las Vegas is his masterpiece.
