  1. War on War, no competition. One of those perfect Wilco songs, blew my mind at Dutchess Stadium last summer
  2. Nels' mini solo in Company in my back live - This one holds a special place in my heart. I first saw Wilco live at Bonnaroo last summer, I actually had made the mistake of never listening to them before, other than listening to (the album) on the car ride to Tennessee. The first two songs were Wilco, followed by IATTBYH. Company in my Back was the third song, and was the first time i ever heard Nels really rip it on the guitar. I was hooked from the first second. The way John sings "There's a whole lot of money" The low piano chords in Radio Cure The second chorus of Lets Not Get Carried
  3. I sincerely apologize for not believing . I had no reason to think it wasn't true, other than that it seemed WAY too good to be true. And here's to hoping they keep this up until, oh, i dunno, August 13-15 maybe? Hopefully they feel the need to pump out epic shows like these in order to match the great shows that were the Evening with shows here in the states. Whenever i think the bar has been set, Wilco somehow seem to raise it. It really is remarkable.
  4. We're gonna need some sort of confirmation, this seems too good to be true, especially after the other Australia/New Zealand setlists seemed so safe. Seriously, They played Kicking Televison, Less Than You Think, Laminated Cat, Sunken Treasure, and didn't play I am Trying to break your heart? Seems a bit fishy, but if it is real, could be the best Wilco setlist i have ever seen (maybe excluding a few of the evening with shows).
  5. No way your getting flack for this. Sometimes, i listen just to the last line and the whole outro, especially when im in a stressful situation and need to clear my head. Its really therapeutic. I prefer the live version, Nels' solo is way better, and it sounds bigger live, though thats true with many Ghost is Born songs.
  6. - Pat's organ groove during the later part of Spiders when everybody's clapping their hands - Mike's intro to Theologians - Jeff screaming "No one's ever gonna take my life from me" - Red Eyed and Blue live on the recent tours, when the guitars come in loud for "Alcohol and cotton balls" - The gliding synths in She's a Jar, "climb aboard the tracks of a trains arm" - The clip of jeff singing "Im the man who loves you" at the end of IATTBYH - The second chord in the beginning of You and I - The high pitch squeal and the electronic beeps in Reservations - Vocal harmonies during the chorus of Cou
  7. Just bought tickets for the Singers at LPR here in New York City this summer, im really excited! Im not sure if im going to the Solid Sound fest, and the singers don't come through as often as Wilco does, so im really pumped, this is my only opportunity for a while to see them.
  8. Ya, 4/3 Montclair was definitely great, but the 4/2 Montclair crowd was definitely better in terms of singing. The setlists were so different i can't give the upper hand to one or the other in terms of songs, but hearing the whole wellmont theater singing along to Red eyed and blue was really fantastic.
  9. According to Wilcoworld, the Japan shows ARE evening with shows. Anyone hear anything about the setlist from teh previous night's show in Osaka? Or this show?
  10. Ive seen pictures of Tweedy using this old, country style-looking guitar, can anyone identify what kind of guitar it is?
  11. I am a recent Wilco convert. I never even listened to Wilco before seeing them at Bonnaroo last summer, but they blew me away and had me hooked instantly. I then saw them at Dutchess Stadium a month later, then flew out to Chicago and saw them the UIC Pavillion. Every show was great, and i could never ask for more than another pair of 2+ hour shows when i bought tickets for the Wellmont Shows. Those 2 hour shows would have been satisfying and gratifying in every way, and i would have walked out both nights saying "that was SOO worth the $40". But Wilco us so much more. They graced me with many
  12. On and On and On!!! wow, just wow. Plus 3 AM tracks and More Like the Moon, quite a way to send off the Evening with shows. I don't think we'll see these kinds of shows for a long, long time, if ever again. It was good to see them open up their catalogue a little bit, and play songs that are usually rarities, and others that haven't been played in a while. Hopefully they bring some of those songs back. Songs like Laminated Cat, Airline to Heaven, More Like the Moon, Someday Some Morning Sometime, Dreamer in My Dreams, and some others that im probably missing. Hopefully those will reappear more
  13. Here's your answer in terms of the taping
  14. Ya, i haven't experienced anything remotely similar. Might be a dumb question, but are you positive its not a problem with the amp or PA your playing through? Or has it happened on multiple amps? You might want to try that out.
  15. Solid sound at mass moca August 13-15. Il drive to Boston for that
  16. Did everybody else just lose right side audio?
  17. HAHAHA "I don't like fake grass", "This is golden banter"
  18. haha, listening to the Company in my Back intro on webcast, i never realized there was a harpsichord back in the mix. I approve
  19. Either way , wish i got this one one of the nights in jersey
  20. In the street was unexpected and incredible, its great that John and Pat took the reigns on that one, they performed it to a tee. Alex would've been proud indeed.
  21. The chatting wasn't as bad as the first night i dont think. I expected some people to be lost in the acoustic set and start chatting, sounded like most of it was coming from the back. I know NYCTaper and Acidjack couldn't make this show, does anyone know if there were any tapers this second night?
  22. Just a quick question for all y'all out there, is this the first time the band has done both "Outta Mind (outta site)" and "Outta Site (outtamind)" at the same show?
  23. Great Show indeed, definitely couldn't rattle off every song, but heres some highlights: - The band played a great Outtamind (outtasite) to end the acoustic set, THEN did Outta- Site (outtamind) in the encore as well. Don't think ive ever seen a band do the same song twice in one night, i loved it - Muzzle of Bees was a dinner winning request, and it ruled! - Band played A LOT of summerteeth. Can't Stand It, Shot in the Arm, I'm Always in Love, When You Wake Up Feeling Old (acoustic), Summer Teeth, Candyfloss. I might be missing a few - No Heavy Metal Drummer, No Handshake Drugs, No Late Gre
