  1. I'm a big fan of my newest projects name, which is "Pol Pot's Porch"
  2. Realized a left out a few very important ones, like Roger Waters at the Izod arena and the two nights i saw MMJ at terminal 5 (specifically the night they did "Z"). Too many good shows this year
  3. Obviously, all the Wilco related shows were awesome Wilco - Wellmont (both nights) Tweedy - Tarrytown Solid Sound Nels Cline Singers - Le Poisson Rouge Then theres the others, in no real order: All of Bonnaroo Sufjan Stevens - Beacon Theatre Atoms for Peace - Roseland Ballroom Man Man - NYU Muse - MSG The Antlers - First Unitarian Church Deerhunter - Webster Hall Tallest Man on Earth - Webster Hall Broken Social Scene - Music Hall of Williamsburg AND Central Park Mumford and Sons - Terminal 5
  4. 1. Sufjan Stevens - Age of Adz 2. Punch Brothers - Antifogmatic 3. Deerhunter - Halcyon Digest 4. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More 5. Broken Social Scene - Forgiveness Rock Record 6. Dr. Dog - Shame Shame 7. The National - High Violet 8. The Morning Benders - Big Echo 9. Local Natives - Gorilla Manor 10. Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild Hunt Honorable Mention: Bruce Springsteen - The Promise
  5. Christmas Time is here - Vince Guaraldi Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC Santa Claus is coming to town - Bruce Springsteen
  6. Pink Moon definitely, Also Simple Twist of Fate and Neil Young's song Look out for my love, which Jeff did with Avi Buffalo at Solid Sound
  7. I'd like to see Yo La Tengo play, obviously they have strong Wilco ties (especially with 3 different members playing in three different Hanukkah shows). It would also be great to see some smaller indie guys that have been around for a while while remaining fairly unkown, like John Vanderslice or Chad Van Gaalen. I feel like the Punch Brothers could also fit in too, they have a real laid back style that would suit the fest well. Plus, Solid Sound was missing some Bluegrass/Country influences last year.
  8. Wilco Radiohead Bruce Springsteen Broken Social Scene Sufjan Stevens Tallest Man on Earth Punch Brothers The Antlers Martin Grech My Morning Jacket The Decemberists Nick Drake Pink Floyd
  9. Modest Mouse. Their music really intrigues me, and literally everybody i know who likes music and knows the bands i listen to says i should like them. But the songs just don't do anything for me in the end.
  10. I do the exact same thing and feel the exact same way. Just those first few notes of Nels' Ashes solo on KT are beautiful. Always will be one of my favorite live Wilco songs, very grateful they played it the last two times ive seen them, though i don't think ive heard a Nels solo quite as good as KT (Solid sound was close). Seems to me like he tries too hard nowadays. The older solos were beautiful in their simplicity. I also find myself listening to More like the Moon when i need to calm down or straighten my thoughts. Absolutely beautiful song. I don't know how people get by without music,
  11. New Madrid More Like The Moon Dash 7 Poor Places Less Than You Think I think Wilco is best in their quieter moments
  12. I feel like it had to be a venue request to have the show end when it did, theres no reason for Jeff to have shortened the show by that much for any other reason. That being said, i enjoyed what we got in Tarrytown, its great to have Jeff come to Westchester to play. If only there were more venues in the area to play (Wilco SHOULD come back to Wappingers falls and play the baseball stadium again, just saying)
  13. Even so, NYC-area wilco shows have been great. The two shows at the Wellmont in April were fantastic, and the show at Dutchess stadium summer of 2009 remains one of my favorite all time concerts to date. Tarrytown was a far shorter set than the Bowery, so that makes me think it was a venue request to have the show shortened.
  14. Great show, i agree about it ending abruptly, i thought they'd do at least one more in the main set and encore. It was a nice surprise to see all of the autumn defense come out with Jeff in the encore, a great version of Passenger Side (much like the version at the Jeff solo show at Solid Sound). One by One, New Madrid, and What's the World Got in Store were the big highlights for me, though i was really hoping for Gun
  15. Ya, requested and hoping for Gun tonight in Tarrytown
  16. Hm, i wonder why there isn't one for tarrytown
  17. I'm goin, very excited. Its gonna be my first real Jeff solo show. Not counting Solid Sound, since that wasn't really "solo" so to speak
