  1. I don't know how upstate you were looking to go or how big you want your venues to be, but The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY is a great venue, as is Toad's Place in New Haven CT
  2. I usually listen all the way through, unless i'm listening in my car. The drone isn't great driving music.
  3. Saw Bruce Springsteen in Tampa, 4/22/08. It was the first show the E Street band did after Danny Federicci died (his funeral was the day before). The show started with a video montage of Danny set to Blood Brothers, which was very touching, everyone had their lighters out. Then they opened the show with Backstreets, with a spotlight shining on his Organ with his accordion leaned up against it. The organ went untouched the whole song, and it was one of the most moving moments of my life.
  4. Easily. I remember the first time i heard that song back in 2003, and i was like "These dudes are pretty cool". I also remember the first time I heard tracks from their newest album, and i was like "What happened to those cool dudes?"
  5. It's likely that they are still being published by Warner Music Group This probably would be out of the question actually, unless Wilco are still being published by Warner Music Group which is what i think is happening here.
  6. Something tells me you won't be seeing them in tampa tonight http://www.tmz.com/2011/08/01/king-of-leon-cancelling-us-tour-dates-caleb-followill-exhaustion-vocal-issues-sick-concert-tour-dates/
  7. Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis Easy Star All Stars - Lucky (Radiohead cover) Rain Machine - New Last Name The Bravery - Out of Line Arctic Monkeys - This House is a Circus Matisyahu - Jerusalem Sufjan Stevens - Year of the Dog Them Crooked Vultures - Caligulove Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity Uncle Tupelo - True to Life
  8. Fair point. Here's House of Cards. Ed still looks miles happier to be playing this, and its way mellower than Staircase
  9. All i'm going to say is that there was a time not too long ago where Ed and Johnny actually looked like they enjoyed what they were doing, the music might have something to do with that
  10. By the time Whole Love actually comes out, i'll probably have an album worth of "I Might" alone
  11. I agree. I've been a fan since Youth Young and Manhood came out while i was in Middle school, and they really started to lose it around the third album. Only by the Night was an improvement, but the fifth album was downright awful, not a single good song, which as a fan really upset me. But to be honest, i've seen them a few times, and they never had a spectacular live show, which is unfortunate.
  12. Each party shares an equal part of the blame. Scalpers and the people who buy overpriced scalped tickets are symbiotic. Neither could exist without the other.
  13. I believe the Frontgate Wilco presale for the Central Park show on the 23rd starts on Wednesday
  14. Stuff like this scares me a bit, especially as someone who goes to Bonnaroo every year. There hasn't been any weather incidents in the 10 years so far, but being a 4 day festival in the middle of Tennessee in June, it isn't hard to imagine something involving high winds, or god forbid lightning, happening there. A great example is the Tornado/Microurst that hit Delfest in Maryland a few years ago and tore some of the stages.
  15. All i can say is that it's apparently both a blessing and a curse that wilco perform at these smaller venues when they could probably be doing almost arena sized shows in many of these cities.
  16. I've been wondering the same thing for a while, hasn't really been updated at all since the Evening With Tour
  17. There were different rules for each venue. For instance, i don't think the New York show was will call, all tickets were being mailed on August 22. Meanwhile, my Ryman tickets were will call only because they were "Gold Circle" seats from the presale.
  18. haha, my dad and everyone in his office failed for the amex presale right at noon, i waltz in at 12:05 and pulled 4. It always seems like you have a better chance cleaning up the scraps than at the initial go.
  19. It's the scalpers loss, i'm pretty sure all of the Ryman tickets are Will Call only
  20. Section 3 Row C for Ryman night 1, i just woke my roomate up i yelled so loud. Now to get plane tickets
  21. I missed NYC, though i was there right at 10:00, i'll still be tryin for Ryman in an hour though
  22. wow... that was quick for New York
  23. I'm ASSUMING you'll be ok for two different shows. The main purpose of the rule is to stop people from buying 20 tickets to a show so they can sell them for ridiculous prices, not to prevent fans from seeing wilco twice.
