  1. Anyone found a recording of this night up anywhere? Not seeing it on bt.etree. Night 2 is rockin my system.
  2. Just realized that my son is shown in 2 of the photos in that review, so *really* thanks for posting!
  3. That review just about says it all. Thanks for posting.
  4. All of Wilco was out for the finale of I Shall Be Released and The Weight. The Autumn Defense
  5. Oh yeah, having Woody Guthrie's granddaughter Sara singing on California Stars was sweet. A beautiful voice, and her afternoon set was excellent.
  6. I counted 6-7 new songs. Enjoyed every one of them. They are Wilco songs ( except the Nick Lowe I Love My Label). Over 50 songs over the 2 nights. I had been wondering how they were going to handle the 2 shows at the same festival. Two completely different set lists is always the way to go! Both were great, but last night to not be standing in the rain made for a better experience. And I think the band was a little more up last night, but not to take anything awaynfrom Friday. And kudos to the sound and lighting people, who don't get enough mention that I see, but deliver crystal clea
  7. Btw, Tweedy introduced You Never Know as the song that only Glenn wanted to do. Everyone's cleaned up with their best summer faces showing clean!
  8. I totally agree, killer set yesterday in the headliner spot. Nels was on fire, Pat had all his rock star moves going, and Tweedy and the band just nailed it from the get go and never let up. The highlight set of the day for me, although the Soulive and Lettuce sets at the Royal Family Ball late night/early morning was right there with it.
  9. When I first saw the list of artists, I assumed/hoped that Levon would be in the Saturday pre-Wilco slot that Mavis had last year. I was pumped for that. This schedule is taking a little getting used to. Hope/expect Tweedy and others will join the Levon band to close it out, it is their festival after all! Some "down time" in the music schedule for me means joining my wife at the comedy theater, which had some very funny sets last year.
  10. Me too, on all of that. Larry Campbell is a master of everything he touches.
  11. count me among those who really like W(TA). Some folks I've spoken to who don't like it because it's missing the noise and avant garde soundscapes (their thoughts, not mine). Personally, I think it's an excellent release of consistently really good songs, and some that have become favorites (Wilco, You Never Know, One Wing).
  12. I went last year for the first time, and had one of the times of my life. And I never set foot on Bourbon Street. Wilco second weekend-Yes!
  13. Is anybody really whining and complaining about this year's Solid Sound? The thrill is gone, already? Seriously? Stop.
  14. Wow, this Spiders opener sounds awesome!
  15. We will know tonight, Jazz Fest lineup announced at midnight tonight. Wilco second weekend? That would be simply awesome!
  16. What do you mean, I am expecting to put together my 2011 Solid Sound framed photos from Tinnitus Photography shots!
  17. That's funny, I thought the Tweedy set was a *perfect* way to end the weekend, a cloudy, lazy summer Sunday afternoon with Tweedy, all his acoustic guitars and friends. I felt perfect walking out of there. Not that I had "had enough" by any means, but I remember feeling quite nice.
  18. Loved that, and all the Wilco and Tweedy moments at Solid Sound.
  19. You should recognize them! Hope you get some good ones in 2011
  20. There should be a photo attached to that posting, but I guess it's not showing up. Try again.
