  1. Very much looking forward to a pre-Wang gathering with the VC crew!
  2. I would go center over far left, even giving up 10 rows. Better sound and lights. Speaking of which, I don't see much talk about Wilco's lights (maybe there's a topic somewhere I haven't seen), and I don't even know who the lighting director is (i.e., Phish=Chris Kuroda and the Dead were Candace Brightman-one of the great names of all), but Wilco's stage sets and lighting are superb. The 2 different sets they used at Solid Sound were both fantastic, and among my friends we were definitely talking about what a great job their lighting person does. Ditto for the sound. Every time I've seen
  3. I got Orch. Right Center Row A seats 2 and 4 (on the center aisle). But I would love first row Mezz., my preferred seat in the Orpheum, and the location of many a great aud recording. I'm assuming that would be just as good in the Wang. I was at the 2010 Orpheum show. In over 35 years of seeing live music that was a top 5 show for me. "An Evening With." Can't be beat, wish they were doing that again.
  4. Any Amex pre-sale I've done (regardless of the venue size) asks for a password, which is always the customer service phone number on the back of your Amex card. So if they ask for a password, give that a try.
  5. Did well for Boston, a pair in Row A Orchestra Right Center on the center aisle! Yes!
  6. There is no password for today's pre-sales. You just need to pre-register with Front Gate Ticketing. Good luck!
  7. Better be careful about buying in the pre-sale and then again in the general public sale. The information for the Boston show says multiple purchases will void all of your purchases. Better check the information for the show you're buying. So, buyer beware.
  8. Wilco confirmed on FB that the Front Gate pre-sale is today, and that the venue pre-sale is tomorrow.
  9. Already done, no answer from "Wilco." But I think its a certainty that the Front Gate pre-sale is today. And, some venues (like Boston) are holding another pre-sale tomorrow. But, looks like you can make only a single purchase in all these sales or risk losing all purchases.
  10. That's how I read it also. Which makes for an interesting ticket purchase strategy. With an allotment of only about 10%, pre-sales usually have crappy seats. But if I go for the "bird in the hand" approach and buy in the pre-sale, I'm shut out of trying for better seats in the public on-sale. Good anti-scalping policy, but makes it very tough on the fans.
  11. OK, now totally confused about the pre-sale for the Boston show. I thought the Front Gate pre-sale starts today. But when I click on the info link for the Boston show, says the Wang Theater pre-sale is tomorrow. Are there pre-sales today and tomorrow for Wang? And, according to the Wilco statement, there's a strict 4-seat limit and multiple purchases are not allowed and will void all purchases. So, does that mean I can't purchase 2 tickets in a pre-sale, and then try to get better seats by purchasing another 2 in the general public on-sale? They've got me stumped with that one.
  12. Passwords? The announcement about the pre-sales didn't say anything about passwords, did it?
  13. I did mine. Impossible Germany definitely takes the #1 slot in my list.
  14. Neil did a couple of terrible new songs in the middle of that set. Just awful.
  15. I was into Uncle Tupelo, but missed A.M. Wilco first got me with the release of Being There. I played those 2 discs over and over. Then went backwards to A. M. Don't have the date of my first show, but it was the original band , probably at the Avalon ( maybe the Paradise) in Boston. I was seeing Son Volt and Wico when they came through. but this current personnel lineup so far surpasses anything I saw in the earlier incarnations, it's hard for me to even remember those nights.
  16. Whoa, I have Grievous Angel, and until I read this post had completely forgotten that Wilcon is on it. Hmmm, was I ever conscience of that? Now I know what I am doing next.
  17. I was at that Worcester show. I was already a big Wilco fan, and was thrilled at the double bill with Neil. I have vivid memories of Wilco's set. This was definitely a Neil crowd, It was pretty clear to me that most people had no idea about Wilco when they hit the stage. They opened with Via Chicago, and I stood there and watched heads snap and jaws drop as they worked their way through the calm and chaos of Via Chicago. By the time they finished that song they had the entire crowd in their hands.
  18. Thanks for putting that up. I've been listening to this source from bt.etree, which I am very happy with, excellent sound: FOB/DFC/about 50 feet from stage on 7 foot stand under umbrella ChurchAudio CA-14 cards>CA-9100>iriver>CDWavEditor>FLAC Is this your source? Or will I (or someone) have to do a compare?? ☺
  19. Has anyone noticed an announcement of the general public on-sale dates? I haven't seen that.
  20. Only about 10% of the seats in a venue will be available for the pre-sales. Will be tough to get some good seats on Wednesday.
  21. New website looks to be up and fully operational, with an awesome photo from Solid Sound at the home page! And streaming shows in the Roadcase.
  22. Maybe this was posted already, but just checked Live Nation, and they show the Montreal show as going on sale to general public on Friday, July 15 at noon. No prices listed.
  23. Thanks for that pointer! I've never scrolled down far enough on the main forum page to see those topics.
