1. These recordings are simply amazing. Each instrument and vocal just open up perfectly. Excellent representations of the sound of the full band on some very hot nights. Thank you Betty!
2. Hey bopp, what night shows are you seeing? (I know that's off-topic but I couldn't resist. Missing being there.) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
3. The World Record Players on a tour of Japan! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
4. Got home late from work on this dreary Friday evening to find the box set had been delivered. Admired the packaging, then went first for the Help>Slip>Franklin's from Buffalo. I'd been waiting a long time to listen to an official release of this show. This did not disappoint. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
5. Perfectly said. (I still smile every time I listen to them open that show with Boys Are Back In Town). Meanwhile, we're supposed to be able to vote 1x per day, its a new day but I can't vote. And YHF has a big lead, we need all the BT votes we can get.
6. Sleep all day and rock all night!
7. Just this second got the tweet. Fun! I'm voting for Being There, no question about that for me.
8. I'm aggravated as heck I'm not there. Hope you're having a blast, I'm sure you must.
9. I agree. Although, I went to both Beacon shows and it was incredibly exciting and fun to have the band back. At the time we all thought they were great shows, but in retrospect a little too on the mellow side. Certainly not what they were to become by spring '77.
10. Just got the latest DP, and now I have a notice this is on the way: May 1977: Get Shown The Light I'm going to need to shutter in for a while.
11. Nice! I am so psyched to see him a week from tonight. Is he playing the Beacon?
12. Got this, it sounds great! Thanks so much for posting it here.
13. "Beneath all the madness, a bundle of joy. The Grateful Dead." I love those Bill Graham intros. Got my Felt Forum Dave's Pick yesterday. Listened to a few tracks on the bonus disc. Sounds good. Another excellent era of GD music.
14. That band JRAD is total fire.
15. Great song! Never heard him before, I will check him out.
16. There's nothing about Gregg's statement that is a straight out denial of the initial report. Who knows. I hope for the best.
17. Perhaps rumors of Gregg's demise are greatly exaggerated: https://www.jambase.com/article/gregg-allman-issues-note-after-manager-denies-hospice-report
18. Another giant about to fall. Just this weekend, in paying tribute to Butch, Trey called Gregg "the best singer ever in rock n roll" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTbo-xXrnuM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTbo-xXrnuM
19. Yup. I think the official release is the same as the unofficial release that has circulated for years. Except the audio is amazing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
20. Having a bit of a GD weekend. My wife was away, so I took the opportunity last night to blast Sunshine Daydream through the system for the first time in a while. I'm not all that interested in the old acid tests sound and videos interspersed throughout. But the pure concert footage and audio is outstanding. There's a reason this show is so highly regarded (I still have the Dupree's issue with the cover story calling this the greatest GD show of them all). Made for a great late Saturday night. There could have been some of Colorado's finest chocolates involved. Today, its Dave Pick's 17- Se
