  1. Thanks a lot for the suggestions so far. Tinnitius, I've looked at a lot of your work via this forum and you do great stuff! Basically I'm getting ready to take a photo shoot of my own and I'm looking for shots to use as models/starting points for it. Right now it's just going to be promotional stuff, no live shots yet. Feel free to keep 'em coming...
  2. Looking for some websites/portfolio links for modern rock/pop photographers. The more cutting edge the better. Any suggestions? I've already been to Autumn de Wilde, which was right on the mark: http://www.autumndewilde.com/portfolio.htm
  3. Amazing choices so far.... In the wee small hours - Sintra Giant Steps - Coltrane Hard Day's Night - beatles Love for tender - elvis costello Silent kit - pavement feel - big star
  4. Must say I love this song. All these Zep mentions but no "Fool in the Rain"???
  5. Be sure to pick up a NFT (Not for tourists) New York City book. It's about 15 bucks and totally worth it - has an overview of all the different neighborhoods and will fit in your coat pocket. Don't know how old you are but if you look hard enough you can find some pretty good deals in Alphabet City/Lower East Side, which are both hopping areas - especially at night.
  6. Are you saying that the wine train operates only in Napa? And we would have to take the ferry etc. to get there and then pay the wine train fee? Thanks for the help.
  7. Hey all. Going to SF in a few weeks and was planning to take a trip up to Napa Valley. Is it possible to get their by train/commuter rail, or is driving the only option?
  8. Turnstiles awful? Imo his second best record (behind the stranger)
  9. This is indeed a great album. Used to love Billy as a kid, and while I've for the most part stopped listening, it's hard not to appriciate his gift of melody. The number of hits he's add is simply amazing.
  10. "walk unafraid I'll be clumsy instead..." been in my head all day.
  11. Do tell us what the record actually sounds like, cause I haven't a clue what to expect.
  12. While by no means bad, they are all mostly blues songs and in a way charlie patton tribute records. There is no way they deserve the 5 star raves rs gives them. Perhaps 3 1/2 stars, but not, imo, by any means excellent or even very good.
  13. In honor of the new record, which sounds like it could be badass: Though not as culturally imporant, Elvis Costello is a better all-around songwrtiter than Bob Dylan. Elvis Costello is the only elderstatesmen still putting out legimately very good/great music--the stones, dylan, the who, mccartney, etc. are getting rave reviews because of their past work/nostalgia.
  14. For a guy with such an abundance of albums, it's surprising how similar these lists are.
  15. While I prefer the later albums, FPT still may be my fav. radiohead song. Perfect.
  16. Def agree with that. Has anyone seen the devil and dj? Pretty intense.
  17. Definitely overrated imo. I think all the comments about why Ryan Adams sucks apply moreso to Bright Eyes.
  18. Any of REM's IRS album sound good on the road.
  19. I had no idea the nick cave record leaked! pm anyone pleasee??
  20. This album is pretty solid. Nothing mind blowing but nothing even close to bad. Def a 7 at this point and it may even go higher.
  21. That's a pretty awesome setlist for sure. But what does the asterik on rainy night in soho mean?
