Hi all: I was thinking about traveling to Dublin for Easter weekend when one of my friends told me it's a very religious area. For those who live in Ireland, is the city shut down that weekend? Thanks.

I'd have to go with Lou--though Paris 1919, imo, is better than anything lou's made post velvets. Vintage Violence is great too, but fear is hit and miss and after that doesn't really go with me. With Lou, as has been noted, you have a lot of crap. But you have a handful of great records: Transformer, Berlin, The Blue Mask, Coney Island Baby, New York. All great stuff. And he's just the man. That being said, both are important to me and I would love to see them go on tour together!

Just saw Sweeny Todd and it was great. I had never seen the musical and I must say I was blown away by the songs! Great melodies! It was visually stunning, had great performances and was just a fun story. SPOILER The person I saw it with said in the musical version Sweeny also kills his daughter. Is this true?

So basically There Will Be Blood is only playing in NYC and LA until Friday, when it opens up in some cities?

Brilliant!

Great thread! EC is the best. Here's a vicious verse from Senior Service that I've always loved: I want your company car I want your girlfriend and love I want your place at the bar Because there's always another man To chop off your head and watch it roll into the basket If you should drop dead tonight then they won't have to ask me twice Continue on!

For those who have seen this tour: at what time does Neil take the stage? And is Peggy doing an opening set?

So since the b-sides have been released, can ppl comment on them? bad, good or great? JT isnt my fav u2 album, but if all the rarities are good I may have to give in.

No fewer than THREE songs from The wild and innocent (apparently for the first time since 1980!!) makes night two a winner. Oh, and darkness > candy's room, a tour premiere of 10th ave freeze out and an excellent night. Should also mention that "this hard land" premiered, but I think that's a pretty mediocre song and would have preferred something else from tracks (esp. disc two). But all in all, a great show! -

Night one: Didn't get into the main pit, but was third row after it, so not bad at all. Setlist was pretty standard and I was dissapointed in the lack of songs from the first two albums. Then he busts out a tear-inducing Jungleland in the encore and all is forgiven. Still have big expectations for tonight, though! -
My initial reaction was that I needed to see it again. Too bad it's $8.50 a ticket!

Of course, fixed

Saw this last night and I think I think it's amazing. What I mean is that I was just hypnotized by the movie for two hours and then spent the night thinking about it. All of the acting was certainly top notch. What are people's thoughts of the movie itself and what do people think of the ending?

Going to both nights this weekend in Boston. As they are the last shows of this leg--and in a city Bruce as always given great shows to--I have rather high expectations. Hopefully I'll get lucky with the pit on Sunday...wish me luck! -
Can anybody hook me up with Sad Movies and/or No One Seems to Know? It appears this are unreleased, but I'm sure one of you guys must have a recording! I'm getting ready for the 12/2 show!

I would say half of Amnesiac ranks with their best work. But a good chunk of the record is pretty stupid.

I actually did the same type of list last year. It's a lot of fun!

Def the best setlist of the tour thusfar. Glad you enjoyed it! -
Yea, I had borrowed Tracks from a friend a few years ago and really liked the first two discs, not so much the last two. For some reason, I only burned a copy of the second disc. I'd appriciate it your help--yet again-- Tongue-Tied!

Not a bad review at all, but Your Own Worst Enemy is still one of my faves on the album. I'm surprised at how two thirds of the record has held up through my first month of listening. I'd say a solid 7.5.

Does anyone have a studio version of Thundercrack they could send me? Thanks!

Anyone get Boston tickets? I struck out, but may try to scalp soon. Do you think GA tix will be cheaper day of?
