Looks like those deals are now gone. I was looking at Expecting Rain and some guy was talking about how he had bought ten of each.

I spent about 15 minutes chatting with Alex Chilton once. At the old Knitting Factory in NYC the bands often stayed in an apartment above the club. Chilton was playing a bunch of shows and I went to the first night. It was excellent so I went by to get tickets to another night. As I was walking up to club, Chilton was walking out of the building. We talked and then walked together for about 10 blocks before we were going in different directions. He seemed interested in talking about anything but music ...

I agree. It's one of my favorite albums of the year.

Now, if it was Ken Forsch I would be impressed ...

The highlight of my athletic career involves Pat Ewing. We went to the same high school and at the year end sports banquet, I got a trophy for being on the tennis team and he got a trophy for being the best athlete in the school.

Didn't do much for me, but maybe I'll give it another try.

You and me both. I don't have much Dead on my ipod but almost all of it is different versions of Dark Star from 1968-1970

I agree. I picked it up a couple weeks back and really like it.

Yes, but I agree with this: "These songs will sound better live, as the band sharpens up its edges, and when the next Wilco record comes out, maybe we -
Nice! I was a few seats over to your right (standing next to John's in laws, who oddly and coincidentally had dinner with my aunt the night before). It was a great show. Glenn is a monster.

My recent Arcade Fire experience is why I checked. I don't think there was a presale when Arcade Fire played in Boston but I was on ticketmaster and had tickets right when they went on sale and they were not great seats. The day after the show I was reading some message board (maybe even this one) where someone was writing about getting fifth row tickets the day of the show.
