Saw this listed on another message board. Listed below is a list of gear that was stolen out of the Dinosaur Jr trailer last night (Tuesday 8.29.06) outside of their hotel in Long Island City, NY. We would appreciate spreading the word and passing this list around in hopes of recovering their gear. Feel free to send this list to any and all band, tour and production managers, guitar freaks, touring personnel, venues, musicians and or thieves that you think could help us. If anyone has any information about this gear, please call Brian Schwartz at 303.998.0001 or Bart Dahl at 212.777.0922

I did not - although I did download it from his site. He has been playing a residency in Cambridge (Wednesday nights at the Lizard Lounge) with Crown Victoria, and tomorrow night is the last night. I have gone to a few of them and they are great. He plays some Crown Vic stuff and a bunch of covers, including several Stones songs from Exile.

I just finished Bill Janovitz's (from Buffalo Tom) book on Exile on Main Street. I read it on my bus/subway commute while listening to Exile on my ipod. I thought it was great - but also important to be listening to it. He makes a lot of very specific references to moments of each song that would be confusing (or not as interesting) without actually listening to it.

Jon Papelbon is the best baseball thread ever
Oil Can Boyd replied to bobbob1313's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I have been watching the Sox long enough to know that they are going to have one last push where they look good for about a week and they get our hopes up before dashing them again. Unless of course Big Papi's irregular heartbeat finishes him for the season ... -

I think it just depends on how you define a "moderate" level of success. What I was trying to say was that they were succesful enough to keep at it for 15 years, but not successful enough to make a continued living at it.

Indeed!! I have not been around these parts much (with a new job and all) but this past weekend sort of freaked me out. I am just old enough to remember the last Boston Massacre (in 1978) and that sense of helplessness was all too familiar. But this west coast trip is where they turn it all around ... -
I watched it last night and loved it (but I also love Luna). It was interesting to see behind the scenes of a band with a moderate level of success who are probably not going to get any bigger. I think a lot of bands that I like are in that same position and have made (or will make) that decision about how long to carry on as a band. I have not watched all of the extras but I definitely recommend the movie.

That was a pretty amazing catch ...

I saw the show - and the Friday night show at the Paradise Lounge. They were both excellent. The set lists were similar - and the new songs sound great. It was great to see them again ...

Man oh man!

Yeah!!

He may not be part of the Paste crowd, but I am surprised that Stephin Merritt didn't make the list. 69 Love Songs alone should get him on that list ...

My friends and I got there ridiculously early so we went in when the doors opened and ended up standing (almost) front and center. Martha Wainwright was entertaining. She said "my brother Rufus wanted to be here but he couldn't make it" which seemed both funny and gratuitous. Neko was great. I had never seen her before and I agree with Sir Stewart's comment about her voice. You hear it on the albums and it is impressive, but to be ten feet away from her as she sang was a treat. I got chills when she sang Deep Red Bells. The rapport between the band members (particularly between Neko a

Just started this. It is pretty compelling - and a little creepy. I will never look at Mormons quite the same way again.
