  1. Me too and me too ... (I actually bought the single but my turntable is on the fritz.) EDIT: thanks everyone!
  2. I saw the Boston show too and it was great. But I don't get Sundance so I'll wait for the DVD ...
  3. Wow - first bassist Pat Leonard died last year and now original (and amazing) drummer Pat Brady died last night. Moving Targets
  4. That is a nice write up. It was my first Wilco show and it was a great one. Up until that point, I was a fan but not a huge one. I had all of the albums but they hadn't really grabbed me yet. But in Camden, by the time they were halfway through the opening song (Airline to Heaven) I knew I had a new favorite band.
  5. He sometimes refers to himself as Billy at his shows. He often calls his Lizard Lounge/Toad band "Billy Billy Matt and Phily."
  6. It's a great blog. The first time I saw Wilco (Camden Maine July 2000) Janovitz was the opener.
  7. I watched some of this last night and it was pretty good. Neil was pretty blunt about the importance of "following his muse" even if it meant screwing over bandmates or other musicians. I also didn't realize it was James Taylor playing banjo and harmonizing on Old Man.
  8. And how about four people (two catchers and two managers) getting thrown out in the 7th inning of the (Red) Sox/Twins game? Seemed like the ump had a pretty short fuse ...
  9. Was that Mr. T in the booth for part of last night's Cubs-Pirates game? I only watched the game for a few minutes but there was a guy making sort of random comments and then he actually started talking during a break. It sounded like Mr. T but they never identified him while I was watching.

  11. This is turning into the multi-purpose Dylan thread but I thought this was interesting: Dylan "poem" on sale was actually Hank Snow song.
  12. I bought a falafel from him at Red Rocks in '92 ...
  13. Once I saw the number of name actors listed, I began to worry.
  14. I don't know if this is appropriate to post here but the update is that he is getting close but he needs a little more money to finish it. Details here ...
  15. A bunch of pictures and video from this show are on this guy's blog.
  16. I just went out for a cup of coffee and there was a guy playing guitar outside my building. He was playing the Late Greats when I went out and California Stars when I came back. I gave him $2.
  17. I don't actually know. I'm not a huge Jayhawks fan and it was not something I recognized.
  18. When you figure it out, please let me know ...
  19. Amazing show by Bon Iver last night. Certainly one of the great things about it was the venue. It was in an old theater on Cape Cod that seats only 300 people. It has great acoustics and an amazing mural by Rockwell Kent on the ceiling. I think partly because of the setting and partly because there was no alcohol for sale the place was pin-drop quiet while they were playing. We were not sure what the deal was with the theater so we got there ridiculously early. As we walked up to the place the side doors were open and they were doing the sound check. We watched them play Flume and For
  20. Going to see them tonight in a small theater (300 seats) on Cape Cod.
  21. Glenn Mercer and Bill Million of the Feelies
