darin gray @darin_gray 1h I am happy to report that I am the bassist in the band TWEEDY! Hope to see you all this Summer!

Yikes...the home page of wilcoworld.net! Doesn't even say Wilco on it. Just Tweedy.

Lucinda Williams is opening!! They could do some amazing duets.

Paste is streaming a record Mikael made at SOMA in 2001-2003. Right around the time he got introduced to Wilco I think... http://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/av/2014/05/album-stream-mikael-jorgensen---the-cheetah.html

I've never heard the term hair farmer before! Classic! -
Really enjoying Phosphorescent Harvest. I think the song writing is much more solid than the first two. Highlights: Beggar's Moon, Meanwhile in Gods... Great listen straight through.

Use Your Illusion does not hold up in my opinion. The production isn't great and the drumming sucks. You Could be Mine is great though. What other songs are really good tunes?

It was Tom Petty and Minus 5 with Wilco for sure. I caught the first Petty show and then both Minus 5 shows. Great week indeed. Wilco debuting A Ghost is Born songs as a band and this message board influencing Jeff to get a haircut between the shows. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/tom-petty-and-the-heartbreakers/2003/vic-theatre-chicago-il-3bd1b838.html http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-minus-5/2003/abbey-pub-chicago-il-43df53c7.html http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-minus-5/2003/abbey-pub-chicago-il-4bdf53c6.html

I caught the Chicago incarnation of Pettyfest last night. It was a fun show. Thought I'd post here because of some Wilco content... John and Pat were two of many guest stars. Their first appearance was for Here Comes My Girl. Pat played guitar and John was on stage sans instrument. Pat handled the talking lyrics as well as the chorus while John hit the higher note singing (very well). Later they backed up Kelly Hogan (both on guitar) as she did Stop Dragging My Heart Around. John also joined many of the performers for the last song of the night - Handle with Care. Butch Walker was impressi

It is pretty easy to avoid everything but the concert if you want and then I think the event isn't so bad. I did that the last couple years - Fun. last year and then Gomez the year before. Great fun especially if the weather is nice. Entering at Monroe and Columbus avoids all the craziness.

Interesting comparison. I know you meant it as a joke. JBJ must have figured out that touring/working under his name wasn't as as lucrative as working under "Bon Jovi" as he has kicked Richie out of BJ and with health issues, Bon Jovi has toured with just two real members at times (JBJ and the keyboard player). I think in Tweedy's case it is a great solution. It lets him evolve beyond Wilco, which over the last 10 years has turned into a band of the six current members who perform Jeff's music.

"Will be playing with a band." Interesting. My money has Spencer on drums. I wonder if he'll have the crackerjack band at any other upcoming solo dates?

Pat is opening for Zombies. Not sure if he also joins them or not. http://instagram.com/p/m85aXAjxjk/ https://twitter.com/TheZombiesMusic/status/457167278220779520/photo/1

Steven Adler sat down at the table next to me at a LA diner yesterday. Don't do drugs kids.

I agree with the Hall that it should just be the four original. Subsequent band members didn't contribute to much material that is Hall worthy. I think the Hall has actually set a good standard that they are living by.

Pat is playing with the Zombies on the dates listed. His first gig playing with them is the 11th, so you missed the Zombies, but Pat didn't play with them in Miami.

Got my ticket to see CRB in Chicago when they hit town. Jackie Greene is also coming, but I think I'll pass on that show. Waiting for a local Rich date - I've never seen him solo/live. Wish Chicago was one of the markets getting the Jackie/Rich combo shows.
