  1. thought this might be a good thread to post this. Hadn't seen it yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIOA5sPxb_Y&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DsIOA5sPxb_Y&app=desktop
  2. Only four more chances for new material on the tour. Surprised there hasn't been something...whether it be Wilco or Loose Fur or anything else.
  3. The Head and the Heart/Dawes/Thao and the Get Down Stay Down @ Chicago Theater.
  4. "The follow-up to 1999′s Stereo Type A was self-produced and recorded over the last two years by frontwomen Miho Hatori and Yuka C. Honda. The 10-track effort features guest spots from Wilco’s Nels Cline and Glenn Kotche, comedian Reggie Watts, and Atoms For Peace’s Mauro Refosco, among others. According to a press release, it’s a concept album involving a “love story and a group of ghosts in a hotel.”" http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/12/cibo-matto-announces-first-album-in-15-years-hotel-valentine-streams-mfn/
  5. Found this tweet: Stefanie Castillo ‏@SueBside10h Jeff Tweedy killed it in Seattle! Such a great show! Ended with Lennon's God with Scott and Tad from Young Fresh Fellows!
  6. Mikael joined Margaret on stage in LA on Friday evening at Wiltern: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fcHPGjIIMY&feature=youtu.be https://twitter.com/jimmeshelter/status/409181521656807424/photo/1

  8. Jeff did a great version of Dylan's Forever Young at the Bar Mitzvah from what I heard...
  9. Nope. Not even for part of the show. What a bummer. And after all the hype about it.
  10. Updated with Jeff in the schedule now: 2:00PM JEFF TWEEDY Live from Los Angeles Audience members of 24 Hour will have first access to purchase tickets to an exclusive evening at the Up Comedy Club on January 6th, 2014, featuring improv and sketch comedy from SNL cast members and distinguished Second City alumni, followed by an intimate “living room”-style performance by Jeff Tweedy. Ticket sales will also support Onward Neighborhood House.
  11. The Ruling Class, Millionaire (live versions only), Old Maid immediately come to mind...
  12. Nope. Autumn Defense is playing at Concord Music Hall on January 10th. I've never been to CMH and am curious about it. LH is a great venue - I've seen Wilco and a dozen other great shows there.
  13. Bought tickets for the Autumn Defense Chicago show. Anybody been to the venue yet? I haven't. Curious how it measures up to other small/medium spots in town.
  14. Ken Coomer close second?? Totally agree with your comment. I don't know any band where people (non-drummers anyway) choose their seating/viewing position based on the drummer, but I've seen people go to the balcony so they can take all of Glenn's work in better.
  15. http://letterstosantachicago.com/ Jeff beaming in between (or during) Largo gigs. Lots of interesting video guests. No mention of a JT living room show among the highlighted auction items.
  16. I hope they also release the new music on cd and digitally. I imagine they will? While I find Killingsworth almost unlistenable, The Gun album was amazing.
  17. New Minus 5 Album out soon. From universaltrendsetter.org: The Minus 5 is nearing completion of its 9th official long-player, and first since 2009's Killingsworth. Scheduled for release by Yep Roc Records on Record Store Day, April 19, 2014, it will be a 55-song 5-LP set of new material, titled Scott The Hoople In The Dungeon Of Horror, limited to 500 vinyl copies in a deluxe book-style bound album. As usual, The Minus 5 features Scott McCaughey with much help from Peter Buck and pals such as John Moen, Jeff Tweedy, Bill Rieflin, Linda Pitmon, Nate Query, Jenny Conlee, Ian McLagan, Laura
  18. Andrew Orvedahl has been announced to support KC, Denver, Salt Lake. http://www.fiveunicorns.com/ for more on him.
  19. Scott McCaughey has been announced as support for Seattle - Santa Barbara. Thought y'all might want to know...
  20. Based on your reviews, just bought tickets for Spring Standards tomorrow. I'm excited. Saw Lucius the week before last and they were awesome.
  21. Good show. 5 covers was a bit much, but they are playing well. Jackie has improved as a fit for the band since I saw them in April (still the poorest fit among the guitarists I've seen them play with). Highlights for me were some of the deeper cuts: Make Glad and Ozone Mama in particular. I'm thinking about making the trek to Milwaukee this upcoming Friday. These were their 4th and 5th shows in Chicago in the last 6 months which may partially explain the non-sellouts.
  22. Brian Wilson & Jeff Beck in Milwaukee @ Riverside. First time going to that venue...
  23. Anybody else here I'm Waiting for the Man in Wilco (The Song)? Caught it during a piece on Lou yesterday.
